Today at the Pope John Park in Dorchester from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. a family fun day will be held. The event is called "Summer Fun on The Neponset" and will feature Boston park rangers participating in arts and crafts, boat rides and K-9 demonstrations. The event is free. Located at Gallivan Boulevard, Dorchester.

Today the Lipton Regatta will take place in Quincy. There will be over 100 boats participating. Come out, enjoy the weather and watch some great sailboats! Park at the Squantum Yacht Club. The event will start at 10 a.m. and will end at 2 p.m. See you there.

The Houghs Neck Community Council will hold a "Rock The Neck" parade, picnic and concert Saturday as part of its celebration of the neighborhood's 375th anniversary.
Festivities will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the Houghs Neck Community Center at 1193 Sea Street in Quincy. Bring the family!
