Yes say many agents. Why is this so? Many think antennas can detract from curb appeal and signal to buyers that the rest of the property is potentially a wreck. "It's a sign that other things may be wrong," said Ron Perone, of Herricks Realty in New Hyde Park, N.Y., "a sign that the home has been neglected."
Antennas can also be a hazard. If knocked loose in high winds, they can tear up the roof or slash through a neighborhood like a scythe. They also make perfect targets for lightning strikes. Sellers, get rid of them!
