This is a really cool art event held in the Dexter/Chelsea area . They usually have some very unique artist's and some type of live music. The show is always held on the last Sunday in October and is a great way to spend a fall day before old man winter comes knocking. I will be there with my partner Lorrie celebrating her birthday! I will be holding a home buying seminar with fellow Realtor Mary Hettinger to discuss the advantages to buying a home now. Some of the topics we will be discussing will be how to take advantage of the $8000 tax credit, qualifying for a home loan , and the overall home buying process. We will have a lender also on hand to answer any questions about mortgages.

I am a regular listener of public radio and for the last month, Michigan Radio has been promoting a program that helps homeowners who may be in trouble with their mortgage. The website below offers steps you can take to avoid foreclosure. The website also lists local town hall style meetings that are taking place to inform people who may have questions about foreclosure. In these times, knowledge may be the key to saving your own home; see this site: http://facingthemortgagecrisis.org/
I am getting ready for the summer and we are looking forward to enjoying our Thursday evenings going to downtown Chelsea, Michigan and enjoying the free music at Sounds and Sights. It will be held all summer long starting June 25th. It is a great way to enjoy free entertainment , walk the dog or just people watch! check out the link for times and schedules of each band. http://www.chelseafestivals.com/soundsights/about.html
I went to visit a neat Ann Arbor business this week which sells recycled materials for use in art, drama , science or any kind of project for people of all ages. I think I will recommend it to my neice who would definitely be in the store for hours. The Scrap-Box is a non-profit organization and you can get involved by donating materials, volunteering, having a birthday party there ( really cool idea) or purchasing supplies which I did yesterday click on the link to learn more www.scrapbox.org
