Marc, a Home Loan Consultant for Countrywide Home Loans is a 12 yr financial industry veteran. He is active in North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce & Happy Valley Business Alliance.
I represent Countrywide Home Loans by working with realtors, builders, investors, attorneys, financial planners, and accountants. My core business is in residential lending purchase and refinances. I take pride in my job and gain satisfaction in helping people realize their homeownership dreams. I utilize many resources such as Home Buyers Marketing, which is a property search tool that incorporates the realtor, lender, and client in the buying process. It enables customers to empower themselves in their home search and they receive listings emailed daily on properties that meet their search criteria. HBM also is an effective tool for helping manage a realtor's pipeline. I believe in making the financing process painless for the customer and keep closing costs to a minimum. At Countrywide we have no origination fee options and no hidden points on the back end of a loan. All our loans are Countrywide products and you have the peace of mind knowing who will be servicing your loan. We are not mortgage brokers, we are Home Loan Consultants.
Personally, I enjoy being active in my community. I am a member of the North Clackamas County Chamber of Commerce and Happy Valley Business Alliance. I'm married with two daughters ages 4 and 2 and live in Happy Valley. I graduated from Oregon State University in 1992 with a B.S. in psychology. I played tennis for four years at OSU and currently play at Eastmoreland Racquet Club. College football is a passion of mine, specifically OSU football and have been going to games religously for the last 20 years. I write a feature weekly article for beaverfootball.com. My other hobbies include hiking, swimming, and playing Texas Holdem poker.
My specific area of expertise is jumbo loans for the self-employed borrower. At Countrywide many of these loan programs are reduced doc and are very streamlined. Many self-employed individuals with complex and hard to verify income love these programs. It saves them the trouble of providing their tax returns and profit and loss statements.
For first time homebuyers I highly recommend the Oregon Bond FHA Loan. The rates are very low and credit guidelines are flexible, rates can be viewed at www.oregonbond.us. This loan program helps overcome the myth that people have that they cannot afford a home.
I also do many refinances for current Countrywide customers. We have a program called Fastrack that streamlines the loan process. In many cases we don't have to have an appraisal and closing costs are kept low. Existing customers love the ease of doing this loan. At Countrywide retention is very important to us.
"Marc DeSantis served as the loan officer for my wife and I when we purchased our home in summer 2006. I think the best way to describe Marc during this process would be as a bulldog (in the best sense of the word). He was tenacious in making sure that we got the best rates on our loan. He was absolutely loyal to us and we felt that he "watched" out for us every step in the buying process. While the competition for our loan business was keen, we felt most comfortable with Marc's competence and the way he treated me and my wife." -Dan Schuch
"Marc DeSantis is your ideal loan officer! His high level of professionalism makes it very easy for me to refer him to anyone. I have even refered Marc to my own family! He is very easy to work with and he will gladly and patiently answer any questions or concerns you may have. There are so many loan officers out there, but only a few really good ones and Marc is definitely one you want on your side." -Quang Nguyen, Broker, Oregon First
