Spring is in the air in Livingston Parish!!!! Baseball starts in full swing

in the month of February with 2 tournaments scheduled in the parish. The weekend of

February 21-22 boys age bracket 9-14 gets under way in Watson at the Live Oak Ball Field.

The following weekend February 28-March 1 boys age bracket 9-14 gets under way in Walker at

WBRZ and the Advocate held a morning interview on Wednesday, February 18 with Livingston

Parish President Mike Grimmer regarding the stimulus bill impaction on Livingston Parish.

During the interview, Parish President Mike Grimmer discussed the hope of the stimulus bill

impaction on the parish along with other parish possibilities. Mr. Grimmer also spoke about

the I-12 project, the North Oak Hospital project(Satsuma/Summa Crossing), and the Our

Lady of the Lake property purchase of 210 acres (Walker). Mr. Grimmer also elaborated

on the current and projected growth path of Livingston Parish.

As a resident of the parish I feel the Stimulus Bill would be a great assistance for a fast

growing Livingston Parish.
