
Are you a bargain hunter? Get your prowess on. This weekend is the 4th weekend of the month, and Nasville Flea Market will have its doors open. With the economy being shaky, more people will be pouring through looking for those great deals. October is typically a good month when more vendors visit in hopes of getting early Christmas shoppers puchasing their products. There will be a 1000 vendors in 7 sheds. Make sure you wear your tennis shoes. You will be able to find everything from Christmas Trees, to furniture, to furniture polish to electronics, accessories, golf and the like. It is a bargain shoppers paradise.
The Flea Market is held at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. Hours are 8:00 A.M-5:00 P.M. on Friday. 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday and 7:00-A.M. - 4:00 P.M. on Sunday. Parking is $4.00 which includes a shuttle from the parking lots to the market itself. Admission is free, so load your car up and save on gas and shopping.


Beware of visiting this magnificent neighborhood. You will likely become addicted to the quality of living. Don't take my word for it, visit yourself.

Looking for a fun weekend? The annual Music & Molasses Arts & Crafts Festival, a country celebration of the harvest season, will be held the third weekend in October, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event, with two music stages, draws several thousand people to the agricultural museum each year. Molasses making the old-time way is one of the many special demonstrations that can be enjoyed with cooking and tasting at the sorghum mill. Bluegrass music, story-tellers, country cloggers, a grist mill, traditional crafts for sale, food including homemade cakes and pies, free buggy rides, log cabin activities for children with a trail hike, pony rides, animals to touch and much more makes this a weekend of family fun.
