One great thing about Nashville, TN is the amazing amount of talent here. Last night was no exception as I attended a tribute to Michael W. Smith for his 25 years in the music business. His talent in music and lyrics and voice are astounding, but we were also treated to the musical talents of Wynona Judd, Jordan Sparks, Melinda Doolittle, Phil Stacey, Amy Grant, & Ricky Scaggs who were accompanied by the Nashville Symphony as well as the Nashville Choir. I do believe it is one of the best performances that I have ever attended. The acoustics in the Schermerhorn coupled with the musical talents of such greats left me with a song on my heart and an overwhelming feeling of what a great city this is. In real estate, I am constantly running in to people trying to get in the music business. Song writers, singers, musicians....They all come to Nashville in search of a future. We are so spoiled here to have such a large group of talented people coming together in our wonderful city. It is easy to take it for granted as Titans games always have local famous talent performing. Local bars and music clubs are bombarded with up and coming talent. Our churches are overflowing with the likes of the famous and not so famous who have exceptional voices.
Nashville, TN is a great city. It is a city easy to love, but easy to take for granted. We are blessed with rolling hills, beautiful fall leaves, gorgeous springs, lakes, rivers, parks and entertainment galore. "Music City"-I do believe it has been appropriately named.
