Today is the first day of fall. Autumnal equinox at 4:15. We have a significant change in weather today. Yesterday the temp was 97 and heat index 100, today rain and very mild 70's. The holidays are near but we can't let that slow us down. Homes must sell and people must buy them.

How much do open houses contribute to your business? I have found them to be spotty at best. I'm determined to try to do more to see if business picks up. Any helpful suggestions to capture leads?

Here in the Austin area there is always some event to be lookinf forward to. Next weekend Sept 26 and 27,there will be a celebration with music, family entertainment and food on 6th Street(used to be Pecan Street). If you are in the area come along and have some fun. The music is always great in Austin.

I'm a transplant from CA to Cedar Park(Austin area). I love my new home but I miss a few things from my old home. Trader Joe's, El Pollo Loco, Del Taco. Anyone else here from CA? I was happy to find Jamba Juice, Costco and Panda Express. Carl's Jr just showed up. I'm surprised to find so many people in the grocery stores carrying Trader Joe bags. We share the desire to see them come to central Texas.

Rain Rain Go Away, Come Again Another Day. Oh boy what a soggy grand opening. We needed the rain so bad that I was afraid to complain it's timing.

The party went on without the bouncehouse. Everyone was a good sport. Fun was had by all. A wonderful and successful bake sale went on with the proceeds going to KW Cares. I hope I won a prize but the drawing doesn't happen until Monday. So we wait.
