Wanna know more???? Let's talk Huntsville TX and Reasons for RELOCATION to Huntsville !
It's never too late to R-E-L-O-C-A-T-E !
There are SO many great reasons to consider making Huntsville or surrounding area YOUR new home. Let's cover a few of them.
We have a population of about 38,000 and growing--not too big, not too small, but "just right, Goldilocks!"
We are the home of the fastest growing university in the state of TX, Sam Houston State University or SHSU--GO BearKats !
And so many other things to see and do:
Texas Prison Museum (Home of Ol' Sparky)
Sam Houston Memorial Museum
Lee Jamison Gallery (featuring Local Artists)

We had the opportunity to hear the Houston Symphony Orchestra perform in this spectacular facility.
The Blue Lagoon (Texas' Premiere Diving Facility)
And, here is one of the VERY best parts---Quality of life.
Here in Huntsville, we have an "old fashioned" atmosphere where folks will "look out for your house" when you are away
There are certain things that I already "take for granted" since we moved here to Huntsville. One of them is "commute time"
I believed it was "normal" for it to take 20 to 30 minutes to get ANYWHERE. It took so long because of distance AND Traffic Congestion!
Now, my life is SO different
• When I get into my car to go to the grocery store, heavy
traffic is rare, and I am home in 20-25 minutes INCLUDING shopping time!
......then we are ready for "tip-off" or "kick-off" or the "first pitch" (depending on the season, of course)
And, Huntsville still has an old fashioned "square" with a soda fountain and The "Cafe Texan"

And 3 MORE Reasons !
Huntsville TX is located along the Interstate 45 corridor and just :

It feels good to live here !
--It is not as hot and humid in the summer as Dallas/Ft Worth or Houston, nor is it as cold in the winter---Thanks Sam Houston National Forest!
--"Mr. Hamburger" is coming back in January 2011!
--We have a Bar/Restaurant called "Fat Boys."
--Huntsville's Sam Houston Statue is HUGE! It is 77 feet tall. He's big enough to watch over the town!
--Walking trails galore, including the Hiking Trails in the National Forest !
--Cleaner air due to the National Forest
Only 30 minutes from spectacular shopping in The Woodlands, without having to live in the congestion of The Woodlands
Most Houston commuters who live in Huntsville get to Houston faster than do many residents of The Woodlands. Why? The Woodlands residents get stuck in all of the TRAFFIC just getting out of The Woodlands !
Here, you can actually see the stars at night --and the moon ! It's spectacular
It is quiet at night

There is a Restaurant/Bar called "The Stardust Room" featuring food cooked with beer and has live music on the weekends
You can hear wonderful concerts and performance groups like the Houston Symphony Orchestra at the new Music Performance Arts Center on the campus of SHSU.

Sports Fans: Watch College Basketball, Football, Baseball live!
Live in Elkins Lake, and play golf till you drop, plus access 2 swimming pools, 3 lighted 24-hr access tennis courts, 3 recreational stocked lakes for fishing of boating up to 7hp motor for one HOA fee! (NO GREEN FEES !)
Elkins Lake -- A Golfer's DREAM ! RETIRE HERE!

and, let's not forget "Porch Settin'"
And...................there is MORE!
Remember, It's never too late to R-E-L-O-C-A-T-E !
Whether it's Spring,
Summer ,
Fall,

or Winter,

It's ALWAYS the right SEASON to R-E-L-O-C-A-T-E to Huntsville TX !

Many Miles of Mistletoe....
Reflections on Christmas morn

Many miles of mistletoe
linking open wounds and happy reunions
mortality mirrors fathomless depths
of hungry souls, longing for absolution
Thanks be to Reason--
to sharing unhampered by vanity
to redefining sacrifice
to breaking simple bread together
No roasted suckling pigs with lifeless jowls dripping with sweet nectar,
but a simple meal with a timeless theme
love, acceptance and charity
at times interrupted by
uncomfortable laughter ....whirling in the winds of decided coincidence
while taking a stroll on common ground
in a place where tokens are not accepted
a place where as if dutifully,
wisps of tangled words swirl about
yet land safely -- miraculously with their original intent
Many miles of mistletoe
opening hearts and dressing wounds

Happy reunions...and reunions missed
but sending warm thoughts, laughter and memories of Christmas together
............through many miles of mistletoe.

Another Beautiful Sunset in Elkins Lake!
You know, I love my Keller Williams Office Spaces in Huntsville and Conroe, but there's something about working from my home office every now and then. Home-Made Coffee,
tea with fresh herbs from my herb garden. YUMMM...
And the Elkins Lake Sunsets from our porches--they sure are Pretty!
Pretty Relaxing too! Now, don't get me wrong, I am not relaxed all that often. But a few days from Christmas, taking time to "decompress" a little is a GOOD thing!
And how could this view NOT have a somewhat sedating effect?!
SO, Trying to NOT lose your mind in all of the Holiday Hustle Bustle????
Here's a "Self Diagnostic" to see just how you are doing with that endeavor.
1. Have you taken time to appreciate beauty today?
2. Have you stopped for JUST One (1) minute to breathe deeply---taking a LOW breath and exhaling through your mouth SLOWLY. (THIS Works!---just did it, again)
3. You,ve heard all of your life, probably, to take time to "stop and smell the roses." I know this is usually intended in the "figurative" sense. But, how about taking it literally?
Pick up an inexpensive arrangement of fresh flowers--or just a single stem-- at the grocery store or Wal-Mart, next time you are there.
Then, smell that bouquet or single flower. Close your eyes---imagine where that fragrance could co-exist in the world.
Maybe in the rolling hills of Tuscany, or on a street vendor's fresh flower cart in "Gay Paris."
Let you mind wander for a minute-----a mental vacation!!!
Beauty feeds the soul.
"Eat up, y'all" That nourishment is calorie free!
So, what are you doing tomorrow?
Why not---Take in a beautiful Sunset where you live.
Then, remember.................................b-r-e-a-t-h-e
A NEW Superintendent for Huntsville ISD......or at least an Interim Superintendent,
Huntsville ISD,You have SCORED Big!
Dr. Steve Johnson has been named Interim Superintendent for Huntsville TX Independent School District. He has experience, he's brilliant, he's a gentleman, his wife is precious and
Dr an Mrs Johnson are clients....

How about that! Steve and Mary Ellen Johnson started their search..well before they moved. You see,
they didn't HAVE to move to Huntsville TX, they WANTED to move to Huntsville TX!
Just like me and my husband! I had decided to take a job as a "Choral Director" in another city. Then, out of the blue, I got a call to interview in Huntsville. We came to Huntsville we drove into Elkins Lake-
--We fell in LOVE with Huntsville.
Steve and Mary Ellen Johnson did too. They are fun to be around.
They are lovely people. They are great citizens, hard workers, family oriented and lovers of life. I am SO happpy for them, and even happier for Huntsville.
You see, when they contacted me about helping them with their home search, they told me that they wanted to "take their time" and find the perfect home for them. Well, it was at that point that I KNEW I was their gal, their "Singing Realtor." (follow "SingingRealtor" on Twitter!)
Now, don't get me wrong---I have NOTHING against a client who is ready to make a fast decision. However...
I am passionate about my clients finding the right home. I take it very personally. That's all part of how I am wired, I guess.
Home and Hearth = HEART! HOME has always been paramount to me. I live my clients' home sale, home search and move in.
Well, Huntsville ISD---Congrats! You've picked a great man!
