Mar-A-Lago, located in Palm Beach, Florida, is the former estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post. It was purchased in 1985 by real estate developer Donald Trump and turned into the Mar-A-Lago Club.
The house has 58 bedrooms and 33 bathrooms and covers over 62,000 square feet of living space. It also has 3 bomb shelters and 12 fireplaces.
Donald Trump opened up membership to the club for those who can afford the $125,000 initiation fee.
Trump has supposedly turned down an offer of over $200 million for the property from a wealthy Middle Eastern Sheikh.

Last week in Palm Beach we had a Ferrari show (Cavallino Classic) at The Breakers Hotel. (Ferraris tooling all over town.)

Shopping on world famous Worth Avenue, anyone? Or CityPlace with free concerts and great shopping and people watching. (I do love CityPlace. And there are lots of great condo deals in CityPlace.)
Celebrity citings??? Lots of them. Most of them are pretty cool and shop with us regular folk in the Publix market. We don't even blink, hardly, when Rod Stewart or Jimmy Buffet grabs some fresh Florida orange juice before us. Rush Limbaugh, just a local guy...but can he surf??!! Local bankers and lawyers CAN SURF and DO on the local beach most Saturday mornings.
Today is the Green Market in downtown West Palm Beach (a traditional Farmers' Market, in front of the beautiful intracoastal waterway and the yachts docks at our new FREE City docks.)
Art and Antique show going on at the WPB Convention Center.
Or how about a canoe ride on the Loxahatchee River ? Or camp in pristine Jonathan Dickenson Park.
Or go out to the Palm Beach Equestrian Center and watch the International Winter events there...plus do you like Polo OR Croquet? Palm Beach Polo and National Croquet Center...All here.
