Having being blessed with being an Annapolis native I have seen this special plot of land located on the outskirts of Annapolis evolve from a dog track way back in the day, to an outdoor mall to it's current status as The Annapolis Towne Center. Offering beautiful condos with a roof top pool that allows you to see all the way to the Chesapeake Bay, fine restaurants, stores from Target to Whole Foods and private office space as well.
A few weeks ago The Annapolis Towne Center started their FREE Friday night Concert Series. How delightfully surprised we were when we were able to catch one of the concerts last Friday evening.
We started our evening having dinner at the Goron Biersch restaurant. A treat is in store if you have not eaten there before. The food is outstanding, the service impeccable and the beer list (many brewed on site) is extensive. It is well worth a visit or two.
This night a jazz ensemble was just setting up when we wandered down the boulevard. We joined the crowd in being entertained with some beautiful music on a beautiful evening. Many spectators had brought blankets, chairs and even food to enjoy while listening to the entertainment.
Later we walked through the Towne Center leisurely looking in the shop windows, of which many were open, and enjoying the perfect summer time evening weather.
if you have not had the chance to catch a Friday evenings at the Annapolis Towne Center, it is a perfect way to enjoy a beautiful summer evening in Annapolis.

For more information on the concert series visit the Annapolis Towne Center website.

I don't know if you have noticed it yet but something wonderful is happening right here in Annapolis and it seems to be spreading. I know I sure have. But again, I tend to notice things like this from being a Realtor right here in the Annapolis Maryland area.
What wonderful thing is happening you may ask? Buyers is my answer. In the last couple of weeks I have seen a wonderful sight around Annapolis that I did not see a few months ago. I am seeing more Buyers out and about and they are actually shopping and purchasing too.
Wow you say, that's wonderful!! Now my home just might sell!! Yes, I say, that is a higher probability now but.... there are some things you need to know in order to make that happen.
Oh my, you say. That is good news certainly. After all if everyone had been more careful back when and purchased this way then we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now but... How do I make sure my home is passing the numbers crunch? I certainly do not want to miss out on this phenomenon. Well, I am glad you asked. A phenomenon like this is surely a wonderful thing and not to be missed. So may I make a few suggestions
So that's about it. A Phenomenon has come to Annapolis and seems to be spreading. Already I have seen it in Crofton, in Davidsonville, in Upper Marlboro, in Glen Burnie and lots of places in between. Buyers are shopping. Buyers are happy. And Buyers are crunching numbers.
Buyers are buying with a budget in mind. Thank goodness for that.

Annapolis Maryland Architecture....Where History Comes To Life
Downtown Annapoliswas my playground growing up. Mom and Dad were hard working entrepreneurs who owned and operated a office supply company right on Church Circle. During the school year instead of going home and playing with friends I played at the store. As I grew Daddy would send me out on deliveries to many of the businesses in the area now and again. One of my favorite places to go was the State Capital Building.

I loved walking the marble floors, seeing and touching the beautifully carved woodwork. Many a time I would use the staircases from floor to floor and as I touched the rich patina of the bannisters I would walk grandly down those steps my head held a little bit higher.
Some days I would go exploring and read the plagues and busts scattered throughout. That is where I learned that my State Capital was the Nations Capital for a brief time in history. That George Washington walked the same halls I did and had resigned his commission as Commander in Chief of the Continental Army. And my State Capital is where the Treaty of Paris was signed ending the Revolutionary War.
Other days I would peek inside the chambers where to this day our legislatures hold court making us the oldest State Capital still in use. I would wander the lower halls where I would always find this wonderful gentile older man whistling or humming a tune as he worked away shining the shoes of someone who I thought had to be important to be having that done. I would stop and watch in awe of the happiness I would see in his face of a job well done, of a pair of shoes spit polished to perfection.
I would stand in line at these old iron gated elevators with politicians and staff alike. Little me just a teenager amidst the workings of our government. I was especially delighted when I found the intricate web of tunnels that would get me from one building to the next without ever stepping foot outside.
Wandering the halls and making deliveries of office supplies inside a building that was constructed so many, many years ago in 1772 made history come alive.

Though our State Capital Building has gone through many renovations over time its hallowed halls still hold memories of years gone by.
