Well Good Golly 'Hon'....Look Whose Coming To Annapolis!
If you have ever been to Baltimore, especially to eat at one of the many great local restauarants, don't be surprised if your server calls you 'Hon'. It's a Baltimore thing. Everyone is a 'hon' in Baltimore. It has become such a Baltimore tradition that there is even a 'Hon Festival' held each year where one can come dressed in their best Bawlmer Hon style.
Well last week Margaret Rome posted about meeting one of Baltimore's finest 'Hons' who has also written a book about her reign as a Baltimore Hon. Her name is Charlene Osborne and she is coming to Annapolis this Saturday (December 10th) for an appearance at the Sugarbuns Cafe in Annapolis. Here is the announcement Margaret sent me.
Oh... I almost forgot...I'll be there bringing a 'Hon' of my own 'Annapolis style'
Dec. 10th - SUGARBUNS CAFE! The HONs will be invading Annapolis! Please join us at Sugarbuns Cafe from 10 a.m. til 2 p.m as we arrive in HUGE LIMO style. I will be signing books and brunching with the Hons and friends. I look forward to meeting you!

Each year members of the Annapolis Business Association of downtown Annapolis put on a Christmas Extravaganza that brings the spirit of Christmas and Historic downtown Annapolis together beautifully. The store decorations are up, the tree at the City Dock is lit and everyone joins together to listen to great Christmas music, enjoy Christmas refreshments while shopping downtown Annapolis until midnight on Midnight Madness 2011 night.
The festivities start at 6pm tomorrow December 8th. Parking downtown is limited, however, the Circulator Trolley will be running all evening between all the garages located throughout downtown for free. What a great way to make your entrance to all the festivities downtown for Midnight Madness 2011.
This years theme is Home for the Holidays which is so appropriate since so many come back to this event year in and year out. Many neighbors, families and friends take this opportunity to 'make a date' to meet at Midnight Madness to enjoy the true spirit of Christmas in Annapolis.
Shops throughout Annapolis will be open with many offering special sales. Saint Nicholas will be on hand for photos at the City Market from 6 pm until 9 pm. Performances by many local groups and musicians will also be taking place between 6 pm and 9 pm.
And if you are truly unable to make Midnight Madness 2011 on December 8th there will be a encore opportunity on December 15th.
You've been working hard. Long hours, little sleep and finally.... you have made it. Congratulations!! You have finished up your residency and chosen where to hang your shingle. Now it's time to choose where to hang your hat. In a home you can call your own of course.

One of the great benefits of being a Long & Foster agent is the access to some of the best Prestige Partners available of which one is Prosperity Mortgage. As a new Doctor looking to buy a home Prosperity Mortgage had you in mind with their newest program called the 'Non Conforming Doctor' program. Rolled out today, December 5th, this program offers financing opportunities for medical doctors within the first 36 months of them completing their residency requirements.
Please remember... when visiting an Open House the agent there is solely representing the Seller which is what I do when I hold an open house.
If you are already represented by an agent that should not be a problem as many open house agents honor that relationship. Just let them know when you arrive. HOWEVER if you do not have an agent and would like Buyer Representation when purchasing a home you just may want talk to an agent (like me) who can help you. I would be happy to discuss how Buyer Agency works and how it can help you in your purchase power when buying a home.
Other than my very own listings... I can represent you in the purchase of any home available for sale whether listed with my brokerage or another brokerage. As for my own listings... please know that I will always treat you fairly and ethically and share everything I know about the house itself.
If you would like Buyer Representation when buying a home give me a call. I will be happy to explain how it works and how I can help.
