Great Reasons to Live in Anacortes, WA!

Reason #1: Anacortes has less rainfall than Seattle. The average yearly precipitation for Anacortes is 26.1 inches and Seattle's yearly precipitation is 37.2. That's a difference of 10.1 inches. Anacortes is located on Fidalgo Island and one of the San Juan Islands which is considered to be in the Banana Belt region of western Washingon. Skagit Valley Tulip Festival starts April 1, 2008.

The 25th Annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival runs from April 1 through April 30. There are more than 30 fun, family events, food, music, art, tours, etc. The festival is centered around 1,500 acres of spring flowers. If you're going to be in the area during April you don't want to miss it!
