patience

A basic understanding of human psychology and social dynamics will help you to understand what is happening in the economic world today. In a nutshell: people are quick to lose their confidence and slow to regain it... that is why markets crash so rapidly and grow so slowly. This basic information should help you to piece an understanding of what is happening around you.

People are easily scared and can be incited to panic through fear tactics. This is why most of the conservatve media and political machine are giving you worst case scenarios, this will keep recovery slow because of fear and in turn make the current administration look bad.

This is counter-productive to the recovery of our economy. It is our job as Real Estate professionals to not incite panic but show people that with a proper dose of positivity we can succeed! If you are a false harbinger of bad news you are a terrorist to the American way of life. This country was built on dreams and a can do attitude and will destroyed by the haters of a united states and home to all.

Taking a break

This probably sounds like a bit of gloating but I am taking a break today to go to Boston to a nice wine tasting. Everything goes on hold today, I do not have anyhthing that pivots on a do or die basis right now. Everyone enjoy your day...

Indian Summer

We are once again blessed with a remarkable end to summer with an amazing September. I can't believe this is October we are about to enter! Hyannis looks great with all of the new buildings and/ or renovations the local business owners have been doing to spruce up a great New England Main Street.

A Good Feeling

I don't know if it this fine weather, economic upturn trends, or just a wandering feeling but I feel great about the promising months ahead in the Real Estate industry. In a very real way our industry needed a good shaking up in order to get back to reality. We are a service industry and need to remind ourselves that our efforts are in service to others. I place my humble foot forward ahead of my own needs so I can feel good about what I do... it is amazing how reminding myself of this melts the stress and tension! Good luck and hopes of plentiful fruition to all of your hard efforts this past period of economic recess!

Marathon Monday!

Marathon Monday is a special day in Massachusetts where it seems business slows to a light jog. There is nothing better than hanging around on Yawkey way before a Sox game and taking in all the excitement and buzz created by the best fans in all of sports fandom. There is so much pride in the legendary Boston marathon and all its international athletes.

I however am in the office. This is not a bad thing. I'm feeling some of that must win energy here at my computer. I have this great renewed energy and am feeling the high of a proper cadence that will propel me to the finish line! The market is showing signs of stabilization and investor confidence is creeping back onto the scene. Some of my local banks can't find the time to process all the first time home buyer applications out there. My cash laiden investors are just itching to buy and have me feverishly looking for deals. Life is good. Go sox!
