Ahhh... Winter season is quickly approaching; the morning air is crisp, the Christmas decorations are going up everywhere, restaurants and retailers are in a hiring frenzy and friends from up North are beginning to return.
I love this time of year and not just because it is our busy season for real estate in South West Florida. What's so great about this time of year? It's our growing season. I can hardly wait for all the fresh fruits and vegetables to start filling the stores and farmer's markets, especially the strawberries. Lots of great events like the Shark Shoot-Out hosted by Gregg Norman, The Nutcracker at the Phil, art shows & openings, charity galas, concerts in the park, the Fifth Avenue Christmas parade and snow falling on Third Street. It is also a great time to see some beautiful birds as they fly south for the winter or make their winter home here.
This past Saturday I took some time off to spend with my favorite person, my daughter, in my favorite place. We started our day at the Naples Depot for a Koi show, then on to Fifth Avenue for lunch at Cafe Luna (hint: order the calamari - you'll thank me). We strolled the Avenue and ducked into a few galleries and shops before heading to Tony's Off Third to pick up some pastries for later.
