Yesterday Birkdale Village in Huntersville NC held a Flash Mob that attracted over 1400 people to dance to the Black Eye Peas song "I Got A Feelin".

I was just telling my wife the other day how great it is to live so close to place like Birkdale Village. It has a little bit of everything. Movie Theater, shops, spas, Barnes and Nobles, Restaurants, etc... There is never a time that I do not take a client for lunch or just a drive-by to show the amenities that the Lake Norman area has to offer.

During the summer and holiday's kids can enjoy parades, splash around in the water fountains or just attend a matinee. Adults can choose from a number of restaurants or just relax and take in a good glass of wine at the Corkscrew Wine Bar.

I know that I have written about Birkdale before but my wife and I who witnessed this Flash Mob yesterday thought it was pretty cool!

Latta Springs Subdivision located in Huntersville NC has a nice balance of country setting but the closeness of a kid friendly neighborhood.

Homes are price between the $300's - $600's Latta Springs subdivision runs along the banks of Mountain Island Lake. Traditional style brick homes with large lots and open floor plans. Wynfield Forest, Huntersville NC Homes for sale. This was my second neighborhood that I lived in when I moved to Charlotte. I could not ask for a better place. However, after having TRIPLET boys we had no choice but to move to a larger home. At the time there were no homes that met our criteria so we ended up moving to Stephens Grove only a couple miles down the street.

Here is a recent article from our local newspaper that has documented a few reasons and stats to the upswing of sales.

Low interest rates, a hefty tax credit, price discounts and pent-up demand helped push Charlotte-area home sales last month to their first gain of the downturn - and a big one at that.

Last month 2,210 houses, townhouses and condos sold in the region, up nearly 20 percent from October 2008, according to results released late Tuesday by the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association. That was the first yearly gain since February 2007, when the national housing slump began to hit the Charlotte area.

The big jump is the most robust signal yet of the local housing industry's recovery but still leaves sales below the 2003 level. The region's housing market held up for about two years into the national decline and also has lagged in the rebound. Existing home sales nationwide, for example, began rising in June compared with a year earlier.

The deadline rush helped push pending sales up more than one-third last month for MLS transactions. That's the second month in a row for a gain in pendings, which are signed contracts that haven't yet closed. They are an important barometer of closings to come.

November looks even stronger with loan closings on track to "be up well over double."
