Hough High School which is located in the Lake Norman region is considered one of the top schools in the county. It is the only school in the county that you can attend and live on Lake Norman.
William A. Hough High School is one of two schools that opened August 25, 2010 for students. It is built on land on Bailey Road. The school is a prototype for future high schools in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system. It consists of 99 classrooms along with football and baseball fields and track and tennis courts.
