Glacier View Meadows is a mountain community located approximately 35 miles Northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado. Consisting of 1,042 2-5 acre lots, (half of those remain vacant) and spreading over 2800 acres, Glacier View Meadows has some of the most beautiful building lots in Larimer County. Many lots within the subdivision abut Forest land, and there are several designated open areas within this peaceful mountain subdivision. Spectacular views of the Mummy Range, hiking trails, 3 private ponds, massive rock outcroppings, mountain meadows and heavy timber make this a beautiful place to live.
Community services provided by the property owners association include, snow removal, road grading, stocking the ponds, and for some lots: community water and sewer. Other lots in the subdivision have the right to drill their own wells and install a septic system.
Volunteerism & a strong sense of community shine through the eyes of the Glacier View Fire Department, the Glacier Gals ( monthly potluck suppers and fund raisers), and the Eco committee, just to name a few. I hope to showcase some of the pioneers that settled here and all of these volunteer groups so that you can meet some of the people who make Glacier View Meadows a very special place to live.

For generations, the Historic Pot Belly Deli and Bar has been a favorite with locals and tourists alike.
The little pot belly stove was an original caboose stove from a Union Pacific caboose, and the huge stone fireplace in the back dining room helps create that warm ambiance for group get togethers. A great place to meet your friends and play a game of pool, get a good meal, or sit out on the deck and enjoy the wonderful mountain views.
A popular watering hole, the bar features state of the art sound system, two flat screen TVs, pool tables and darts. Sit down at the bar with 28 of your (new) friends! 'Lots to wet your whistle at the bar - with 240 brands of hard alcohol, bottled domestics beers and 8 beer taps.
Everyone knows where to meet on Saturday night for Karaoke! We love our Pot Belly! Everyone is invited and welcome there. The Pot Belly is also for sale and in need of a new owner ~ if you were looking for a business, this is one of the best to own in Red Feather Lakes!
This is the back dining room.
Ok, sometimes I get a little crazy. After living here for 12 years, and being in the Real Estate Business for awhile, I started wondering... what is it about the Red Feather Lakes area that would make people want to live here?
Why would someone want to move here? Build here? I hate to say this, but the honest answer was,"I don't know".
I can already hear the cries of indignation "Love it or leave it", but I DO love it: my question was "Why?"
I started to panic, thinking if I didn't know why I wanted to live here, how in the world was I going to find any buyers who wanted to? What does this area have to offer? " Nothing"?
Nothing, but some space between your neighbors.
Nothing but peace and quiet, fresh mountain air, time to enjoy your family,
Nothing but hiking, fishing, hunting-
I'm not 'into' the last three... but certainly, a lot of other people are!
I prefer the more quiet activities, like watching the hummingbirds, taking my grandkids down to the lake, reading a book, sitting in the hot tub at night and looking at all those stars!
Seeing the occasional bear, deer, moose or (yikes) mountain lion is "nothing" but thrilling
Ah........all those little nothings.
Nothing to do with a city, I-70, or crowds..
I guess I remember why I moved here, and why I love it.
"Nothing" sounded pretty good to me!
