I have created a monster!My husband has been in the mortgage industry for 479 years and he also sits on the board of directors for *RESPRO. He's a real smarty-pants and rarely shares his brilliance with the rest of the world...UNTIL I started to nag him into blogging. Nagging is actually a good thing..don't know why husbands hate it so much.

Well, now he blogs about absolutely everything under the sun...he snaps pictures of grass growing with his fancy shmancy Blackberry and posts those here on AR for our sleeping pleasure..I mean viewing pleasure. He forces me to read every blog and AND even has been known to appropriate my ideas for blogs occasionally. Who ever makes it to the computer first wins! Of course this is not news to his FOURblog subscribers.

So, if you read a particulary interesting blog posted by Kevin Breeland....just remember the real source behind the inspiration! ME. well, maybe....sometimes...

I don't need to tell you that business has been particularly challenging lately. I think we are all very much aware of that. Some of us have risen to the occasion and have tapped into a deeper sources of strength to keep moving forward either as a Loan Officer or as a Realtor. I use to work weekends but found my well running dry lately and have decided to fill up on things that really inspire me and motivate me. When I feel fulfilled as a human I tend to be a better Loan Officer. I have more patience with the endless slew of questions about loan modification, credit requirements and changing guidelines. I have more resolve to get along with my co-workers, teammates and office buddies. I don't tire so easily. And I'm just a nicer person in general. That seems to be a plus in every ones column.

So, this weekend I tried my hand at some stand-up comedy (posted on YouTube for those who are interested) and on Sunday I visited Magnolia Cemetery here in Charleston. The stand-up was an entertaining distraction for me and received mixed reviews but every once and awhile...in the immortal words from Ferris Bueller's Day Off we just have to say..."what the heck!" Well, something like that. ;)

The Cemetery was absolutely thrilling to my artistic soul. I took about 100 photographs and went crazy manipulating them at Picnik.com . Here are a few below for your viewing pleasure.

The other day Treasurer Secretary Geithner announced the Home Affordable Refinance and the Home Affordable Modification program. http://www.financialstability.gov/

Although this will have little impact on what we do here at Residential Mortgage it is possible you will be asked by people who call. This article gives those who do have questions, some answers.

One other point...if anyone says they are having to pay to have this service done they are being taken advantage of. Here in South Carolina you can recommend Family Services CCCS http://www.fsisc.org/topic.asp?pid=18 .... true HUD Approved Housing Counselors and they can work with the loan servicer and the borrower for both of these programs for less than $50.00.
