This 35 hour course is approved for 21 hours of home inspector continuing education credit. It ill give you the knowledge to perform an Energy and Environmental Inspection on residential homes throughout the NYS region. We include over $ 100 in Manuals and Handouts as part of this program.

Once I register for a program, I understand there are no refunds permitted. There is limited seating for each program. There is mandatory attendance required for each class. Each student must be on time. Each student will receive a completion certificate at the conclusion of each seminar and their name and license # will be presented to the State as required by the NYS, Dept. of State. We also retain records at the school as mandated by NYS. Handouts, materials and/or manuals are included in each class. There is no exam for any of the above programs. The above seminars may be endorsed or approved by a variety of National Organizations. Each course specialty will determine the affiliation or endorsement. Healthy Housing Inspections
Designed to Show Homeowners, Home buyers and Home sellers how to increase a Homes Energy Effectiveness, without major renovations and improvements.
The homeowner, after receiving the detailed inspection, and upon implementation of the recommendations of the IR ENERGY PROFESSIONAL, may see upwards of hundreds to thousand of dollars in savings, over 5-10 years.
These non-binding requirements of the IR ENERGY PROFESSIONAL, are designed to
increase your homes energy efficiency.
IR ENERGY PROFESSIONALS visually inspect areas, known to be energy loss areas.
They bring to their inspection, specialized instrumentation, including, electronic moisture meters, IR Thermometers, and IR Thermal Imaging Camera Equipment.
This program involves both theory and practical hands-on training. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible for the designation of R.E.A. Designation (Residential Energy Assessor) from the Education Board of the Merrell Institute.
You will also be permitted to join the Environmental Assessment Association ~ First Year Membership rate reduced from $ 215.00 to $ 59.00. The CEI Designation is granted to you once you join the EAA.

Dr. Merrell brings 30 years experience in the fields of Education, Real Estate, Appraisal and Home Inspecting .
