Sunflowers and Morning Glories enjoy each others company in a garden. The little fence in the background is for the morning glory to grow on, though it will climb up any flower or weed with height. The sun flower is a very pretty flower that grows very tall and strong. The morning glory can also grow up the stalk of the sunflower, however, if the sunflower gets too strong of a growing spurt, it can break the stem of the morning glory if it wrapped too tightly around the stalk. A word of warning, do not plant sunflowers next to your patio or deck or entry area. They attract both ants and bees, especially yellow jackets. I only made that mistake once! My passion is truly in nature. I love to garden. Even a small amount of effort will produce many flowers to enjoy for weeks. Every year my garden is different. Some years I spend up to a hundred dollars for items to plant and grow, and other years, I don't spend a dime, it's just all my time! (Because of seeds I've collected, and perrenials is how to garden with no money.) I encourage you to grow even the smallest of gardens. It's great for persons of all ages. In kindergarten and grade school, they plant seeds as a science project and it doubles as Mother's Day gifts when the seedlings have grown into a little plant that will thrive if you plant it outdoors. My mother-in-law cannot get down on the ground to weed and plant, so she plants in planters and window boxes. The fence in the picture runs along the private road and the neighbor enjoys the flowers as much as we do. Looking forward to planting season!
Enjoy a little sun sometime!
Gladland or Midwin?
One thing I have noticed is that Clare County has a flare for naming their county roads that border another county. Continue reading for examples.
East: Clare and Gladwin: Clarwin
North: Clare and Roscommon & Missaukee: Claroskee
West: Clare and Osceola: Clareola
South: Clare and Isabella: Clarbella (my favorite) !
-Pic goes here -
Gladwin County on the other hand, apart from where we border Clare County, which is Clarwin, has not combined names for fun!
West: Gladwin and Clare: Clarwin, or how about Glare!
North: Gladwin and Roscommon & Arenac: Imagine Gladmon or Gladnac !
East: Gladwin and Bay: How about Glay or Baywin.
South: Gladwin and Midland. My favorite here, Gladland or Midwin!
I choose Gladland! Wouldn't that be a great name for a road!
What a great way to take a break - time to get back to work!

The fourth of July is the most famous night for fireworks, yet on beautiful Wixom Lake, they're not just for Independence Day! There are several displays put on by home owners that either live on the lake or came up to their cottage to stay and play for awhile. Fire works can be seen all year round, but not every weekend. News Years is always a great time for a bang!
Being a realtor in the Wixom Lake area has been a challenging and rewarding experience. Working hard comes natural to me. My dad is a work-a-holic as well as a walking phone book, both traits apparently have been inherited from him! Nothing wrong with strong work ethics. Life is all about balance.
I'll be enjoying fireworks throughout the year. Hope you will too.
At least one pic loaded, I'll add more later - I added pictures to the mud bog blog!
