After our last winter blast earlier this week - I spoke with Mother Nature and asked her to pay attention here - we need our spring!

So today the sun is shining brightly and spirits have been lifted!

Left my house about 8:00 AM to get photos and measurements and to install signs and lockbox Monday on the way to the office. Upon leaving at the end of the day, I stopped by the local hardware store for a couple items, went home and then picked up my daughter and headed to Gladwin, we actually was planning to go painting but time just got away from us ... We picked up my taxes at Schuster's Tax Service located west of Gladwin, and on the way back I pulled into McDonald's but they said they were closed for equipment repair. So then we pulled into Burger King and found that these ducks were visiting in the city...

Ducks in the city? I wonder where they live?

Even though we marvel at the beauty of nature such as sunsets and sunrises and also including photos of the moon, of waterfalls and flowers and so much more, to think that, if you agree with Helen, the most beautiful thing in the world cannot be seen or touched, but it is in what you feel in your heart.....

So glad the second Sunday in April wasn't anything like the first one. The two snow pictures above are from Sunday April 3, 2011 and the rest of the pictures above are from Sunday April 10'th, 2011.

The sun was shining in the afternoon and the wind blowed gently most of the day. The only rain came early in the morning.

Raked a couple of the flower beds and one of the garden areas has been rotatilled for some of the vegetables. My daughter is busy planning what will be planted where. This garden will have the items that we like to pick and take in and eat for dinner. For example, the peas, beans, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, tomotoes and peppers.

The biggest garden won't be at our house so it will be a little harder to keep up with it. It will be somewhat of a community garden though. It will have the corn and a lot of the vines like pumpkins and squash and potatoes.

I enjoy getting out in the garden - will be wearing my garden gloves so my nails don't look so bad.... so love a little sun shine !!
