Each year, our complete family plus our children's current boyfriends and girlfriends, participate in an ESPN bracket. Well, I was smart enough to pick Pittsburgh to win. Oh well. My three real teams that I am a fan of: Florida State, Illinois and Mississippi State did not last long. Maybe there is some bailout I can apply for?
Anyway, now more time can be spent on being a Tallahassee real estate agent, helping people buy and sell homes in the Tallahassee area. March Madness is such a great diversion!

My wife and I were visiting our 3 children in Atlanta this past weekend. They came from all over. Our youngest is a Jr. at Western Illinois University and he flew in with his girlfriend from Macomb, Illinois. Our older son is doing med school rotations in Atlanta and our daughter, the oldest flew in from med school in NYC with her boyfriend, We had quite a weekend.
Anyway, one of the things we did was go to AMC's Fork & Screen in Buckhead to see Knowing. I had heard of this dining/theater experience and was pleased to give it a try. Would the atmosphere be different? Would the wait staff interrupt the movie? These and many other questions were waiting to be answered.
It was a terrific experience. The food was o.k. but the environment with independant chairs, munchies for the film. It was really enjoyable. If we had one of these in Tallahassee, it would be my theater of choice.
It would be difficult for the wait staff, however, as they did a great job of stooping and moving around the theater to not interfere with the movie.
My belief is that this concept would be a major addition to any community. What do you think? And, AMC if you are listening...Tallahassee would be a great place to make this investment. You have one regular customer already!

Nearly every Tuesday morning, the Tallahassee Board of Realtors has a marketing meeting. This is usually a terrific time to share listings and network with other Realtors. The attendees includes many Realtors from neighboring counties outside of Leon County.
This week we received bad news. I can not speak for how others feel, but Tallahassee has lost a unique person and a great professional treasure. The Old Republic Home Warranty rep for our area is Todd Powell and he has done a superior job.

Fishing is extremely popular here in the Big Bend of Florida. Near Tallahassee there is some great fishing to be had and scalloping too! Even in my neighborhood in Tallahassee, we have a lake you can fish. Stop by Wal-Mart, Kevin's Sporting Goods or Sportman's Warehouse and you will see the enormity of fishing in our area.
With all that said, there are some things more advisable to do than others. My friend John Conklin always says, "Don't go out to where the fish are bigger than your boat." This seems to make sense to me. Some are so ardent in their devotion to fishing they even go out in inflatable boats. Such is the case when a co-worker of my wife, Kevin (last name withheld to protect his wife from embarrassment) went out recently to fish near Tallahassee. Keep in mind, Kevin fishes shallow, calm waters, the results are below...
Is it wise for people in inflatable boats to catch sharks??? Yikes!
