Free Seminars Can Help Residents Apply for O'Fallon's Annual
Home Improvement Loan Program
O'Fallon home-owners who would like to apply for O'Fallon's Home Improvement
Loan Program can learn about the resources that are available, what qualifications
are needed, and how to fill out an application at two seminars.
The seminars will be held at the O'Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall) in the Multipurpose Room at: 9 a.m. on Thursday, January 8 and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2009.
O'Fallon's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) office provides no-interest
loans of up to $5,000 to a limited number of low-to-moderate income O'Fallon
homeowner's who qualify. The loans can only be used for home repair and to address
code violations.
Loan applications will be available for pickup or by mail on Monday, January 12,
2009 at O'Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street. Completed
applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis during regular business
hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) at City Hall beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, February 2,
through 5 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009.
Applications may only be made once a year and are reviewed by O'Fallon's Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) Administrator. Priority is given to low income
housing submitted on a first-come-first-served basis. If funds remain after
eligible low-income applications are met, candidates from moderate-income housing
will be considered. All applicants will be notified of their status within 4 to 6
weeks.
