July 3: Tybee Island 4th of July Celebrations (Chatham County)
Independence Day Celebration with fireworks on the beach on the south end of Tybee Island.

July 3-4: Fantastic Fourth Celebration on the River (Chatham County)
Experience one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southeast along Historic River Street in Savannah, Georgia's First City. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. on the Savannah River near River Street.

Fort McAllister Independence Day
Celebration scheduled from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. and will include Union and Confederate soldier re-enactors conducting musket, wheelbarrow racing, watermelon spitting contest, cannon firing and living history demonstrations.

Fort Morris Colonial Fair
Fort Morris State Historic Site will host this Independence Day event 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Fort, 2559 Fort Morris Road in Midway on July 3, 2010. Featuring games of skill, live colonial band, colonial dancing, musket and cannon firing, and a chance to meet the Georgia signers of the Declaration of Independence .
Directions: Take Interstate 95 (I-95) to exit 76 and travel east about seven miles. Follow the brown Liberty Trail signs to the fort.

FORT STEWART / HUNTER "WORTH FIGHTING FOR" JULY 4TH WEEKEND:
** July 1, 2010 Thursday
Tee off the installations celebration at 9 a.m. :
A "Worth Fighting For" Independence Day Weekend Golf Tournament @ Taylors Creek Golf Course
Throughout the day and into the evening at Walker Field, the Valdosta, Ga.-based Mega Midways Inc. will offer 20 kiddie and thrill rides. The rides are pay-as-you-go today.
A "Salute to the Nation" cannon salute is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Cottrell Field.
** July 2, 2010 Friday
Activities from mid-morning until the last firecracker fades into the night sky over Stewart's Donovan Field.
Trolley car shuttles will be available to and from Corkan Family Recreation area, Newman Field and Walker Field.
Bus transportation from Hunter to Stewart also will be offered.
Corkan Family Recreation Area activities will be FREE to Soldiers and their Families from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The activities and attractions include the 3D Mountain Room, miniature golf, water attractions, the swimming pool, laser tag, spray park and skating.
Followed by the Military Concert: Darius Rucker and En Vogue!
