Why does the public sometimes views us the way we do? Is there a misunderstanding? Lack of Communication or is it over promising and under delivering..Have you ever thought about it especially for someone who sits and waits to buy their first home..they are excited..overjoyed...but something has gone array..no return calls...and no explanation...we dial...redial...and email..and waste time because we can't get straight answers and in truth any answers..sounds grim right?..and then someone has to be the bearer of bad news but the problem is getting the bad news out!
Loan officers I don't want to be in your shoes..but we all are on the same team..it called working together...communicating...and sometimes being the bearer of bad news!
This is the same loan officer who fed another associate a lead...Our listing machine...nutured that lead and converted into a buyer...who was approved for a mortgage prior to the listing machine working with them...and then...the day of closing...the buyer was not a buyer at all...you want to talk about hard feelings? Similiar situation...we dial...we redial..and email...and the listing machine was let down...when he never received a phone call to let him know...until he spoke to the supervisor...the same supervisor..the one we are dealing with now! Guess when the bad news came out..the day of the closing!
Now I can't say the transaction that our first time home buyer specialist won't go through but you start to assume many things...things start to look grim..especially for the first time buyer who dreamed of owning their very first home, They've already given notice...and are excited about buying their first home but will they?
When I spoke to the loan officers supervisor...she was already aware...she was the one stating emails from underwriting were flying back and forth. I made it clear...
I just want what everyone deserves...the truth and in a timely fashion..so if this loan does not go through...our first time home buyers specialist can figure out her next move and so can the buyer.

Being the bearer of bad news is a difficult job and if you struggle to give bad news you might want to practice..
Otherwise..you waste so much time..money and effort..and there are many parties involved...
Good...Bad or Ugly news...people deserve to know the truth...and in a timely fashion.
Keep your fingers crossed..
I've seen this hot shot...pull rabbits out of her hat..its a good thing...because she might very well have to do that to get this first time home buyer into her new home!
Do you have trouble bearing the bad news? If you do...I suggest you get better at it...because as you know...its part of your job!

Today I will be filled with emotion..growing up as a Japanese American in the 60' and 70's was not easy for me. Kids were cruel and their parents not better...but I never blamed anyone. Even as a child I knew our world would change...and someday it would be acceptable and much more tolerated...race..ethnicity
I went to catholic school..and befriended a boy..whom I will never forget...there was something so extraordinary about him but in our youth most wouldn't recognize his merits because the color of his skin.
Today while many things have changed we still need change and more of it...and as a country..united..we can accomplish just about anything!
He might not have gotten your vote but he is our President and as our President he deserves...respect..a fair chance to prove himself and the American People to pitch in!...and I am proud...grateful and excited that I am here today to witness this history in my lifetime!
I know there will be those snickering...those that are quite vocal...and those who probably won't support him..but he does not make the United States what it is by himself..for the people...by the people...it's the people..and with his leadership..and the people's support I believe in my heart as a nation.....

Just imagine if you were a tenant trying to get into your home on Christmas Eve..gated community and all of a sudden you can't get into your house..neither can your room mates. Imagine the stress a mother feels..when her son is so far away..she does her part and calls all her connections he and his room mates gets back in and before you know it..they find out...No tenants allowed..they had a lease and now..there is an eviction notice..on the door but not before the landlord fabricates a story...a story to the HOA..and the tenants don't want to take part nor does the mother...
Now the landlord is upset because it could have worked if only the tenants had gone along with the story and now without a choice the landlord must evict these young men.... they are now looking for a new home for the boys!
While there are record numbers of short sales on the market... you have to wonder, how many of these properties are on the market for rent today? And what is the intent...to get current on the mortgage and continue paying..or will there be more stories of tenants with eviction notices on the door?
I don't necessarily mean do a background check but maybe everyone should do their homework...
Tenants usually pay first last and security...they sometimes have their credit pulled..background check done..a determination is made if the tenant can pay the rent....they go through quite a process...and maybe so should the landlord!
