2008 was quite a year for knoxtours.net. Our virtual tour sales went down a bit. I'm sure the credit crunch, the plunge of the Stock Market, and the collapse in housing values all contributed, but there's also the Knoxville real estate market where virtual home tours isn't yet the widely chosen choice for property marketing. I've been able to expand my photography to bring in a few extra dollars. I've taken on antique portrait photography; I'm gone most weekends, and who I'm photographing isn't always the most cooperative. Ever tried photographing small children? It's a discipline where I'm forced to be creative. When I shoot, each time its got to be different. I have a routine when I go in to shoot a property; A certain way to ensure I don't miss anything! I make sure that the shot I'm about to take and deliver to my client is my best, I take that second look, I at least try to find that different angle. These days, these conditions we're all working under, we have to provide that extra something. We have to make what we do special.
Knoxtours.net wants to wish all the dealers and everyone at Real Tour Vision the very best in the new year.

For a few years now I'd concentrated my virtual home tour efforts toward real estate agents. A lot of my work came from referrals so I really didn't have to do a lot of marketing. The market I started my business in is still, a very hot virtual tour market.
It has been very different since I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. There's not that "want it" for virtual tours as there was in Houston. The virtual tour work I found so easy before is now hiding in and around Knoxville and East Tennessee and its waiting for me to come and find it.
RTV has been a great business partner. Their support system encourages us to get out of the Real Estate box and find another box that can benefit from our virtual tours and marketing.
This is really a great time for Real Tour Vision dealers, the markets are all suffering, causing us all to worry about what the future will bring, but we have to believe in America and be optimistic about what the future holds.
Right now our markets are having to change and evolve and there are many places looking for new and different ways to market what and how they sell their products. We all have the knowledge and experience and the tools, and all we need to do is go out and get it.
I'm going to the places I had thought about approaching before but I never acted on it. Everyday or so I receive the emails, and I read about RTV dealers and how they're getting the commercial work thats out there, its all very encouraging. It seems to be just a matter of just doing it!
