Franklin TN Market Report - September 2009

81 homes sold in Franklin TN in September 2009. That is down 21 units and 20% over the same month last year. The average price and and size of the homes being sold remained very close to the same over the past September. Listings are about 3 weeks longer on the market on average.

The Franklin TN market is still moving well, the average value has remained fairly close to the same period from a year ago. Sellers are having to wait a bit longer to get their price which can mean additional costs associated with selling. The trend shows there is still a demand for well presented homes in Williamson County and Franklin in general.

My personal disclosure and "biased" opinion. Franklin TN is still a fantastic place to live, whatever walk of life or family status you currently find yourself. In short, there is something wonderful for everyone here and great homes of all styles to call your own.

Brentwood TN Market Report - September 2009

Brentwood TN had 42 single family homes sold in September 2009. The average Brentwood sales price for the month was $607,346 and the average size was 4,530 square feet. The sales prices were up from last September but so was the average size of the homes sold. It took two weeks more on average to sell over the same month this year.

So the market is still moving well, people are demanding and getting more for their money and for those that have cash or are serious about buying a house great deals are being made. Buyers in the market now have their eye on the future and it looks bright for them. Brentwood homes and neighborhoods have done well through the slow times and will likely be among the most promising going forward.

Simpler Times - Speechless Sunday

Four of the crew in the canoe are my kids. The location is Oneida Lake in Upstate NY. It is my neighbor's canoe and that is him Nate holding the rope. The kids now all in their 20's and 30's all still speak fondly of those summers on the lake with their friends and old Nate who has since passed on in peace.
