NH REALTOR of the Year Mary Beth Rudolph

Congratulations to Mary Beth Rudolph from the Strafford County Board of REALTORS for being selected the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS...REALTOR of the Year!

Mary Beth was one of 14 exceptional REALTORS chosen by their local boards to be their REALTOR of the YEAR, they were honored last night at our banquette. Congratulations to all the local board REALTOR'S of the Year and to Mary Beth!

Also present were Active Rain Bloggers Ann Cummings, Vickie Wyman, Rose Robinson, Sean Bossie and Bonnie Guevin (Bonnie and Vickie are both non- active bloggers) and of course Jay and I.

We had a great evening and while I didn't get pictures of all the REALTOR'S of the Year, I got picture of most of them.

New Hampshire Association of`REALTORS convention Installation pics

Last night was the installation banquette held at the Mount Washing Hotel and Resort Ballroom and sitting at the head table were three people well known in the Active Rain community!

Ann Cummings was sworn in as 2009 chair of the NHAR Professional Development committee and will now once again serve on the executive committee.

I look forward to being on the leadership team with Ann and all the other members of the team.

I was sworn in as the NHAR 2009 President Elect and will automatically become president in 2010. Sitting next to me was my hubby and fellow blogger Jay McGillicuddy.

It was an exciting night for me and I follow in some big footsteps as both Ann and Jay are past presidents of the association.

My pictures are not that great but you’ll get to see some familiar faces. Tonight is the REALTOR of The Year awards ceremony and tomorrow afternoon it all comes to an end and we head back home.

New Hampshire REALTOR Convention~Mount Washington Hotel~ Day Two

Day two for me but for most of the attendees this is day one of the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS annual convention.

Last night we attended the RPAC Reception and RPAC Awards presentation and had a great time. This year I was surprised at how low the attendance was at this event. Usually it is standing room only as everyone wants in on a piece of the RPAC Auction action. The RPAC auction is an annual event and a guaranteed good time.

This morning I started bright and early with my session on blogging and social newtworking being held at 8 a.m., so you know I had to behave last night :). The turnout was better than I expected albeit very low.

Afterwards I attended the Open Political Forum which was very interesting especially with all the political happenings going on.

I was, I admit, very disappointed in Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John McCain and Sarah Palin...who were all too busy to stop by our convention. They did send representatives but it wasn’t the same and I feel a missed opportunity for the candidates.

The highlight of my morning was Mike Schlappi. He spoke about overcoming obstacles and making a difference. His story is amazing! I don't think there was a dry eye in room. What struck me the most was his talk about team work and how we all reflect upon each other. He was simply excellent and I wish our entire membership could have heard him.

After lunch I sat through a part of Anita Hill’s presentation on servicing the Seller and from what I saw of it, it was very informative, I had to run from her session to go see and hear Mr. Short Sale himself... Prescott Lane.

All in all it has been a busy day for me…oh and by the way… Jay? He’s golfing again!

I put together a little slide show of some of my convention pictures. For some weird reason everytime my fellow REALTORS see me coming with my camera they all take off??? I don’t get it!

I did find a few brave REALTORS who allowed me to stick my camera in their face!

Enjoy.... you might even see a few AR bloggers in the pictures

New Hampshire REALTOR Covention~Mount Washington Hotel~

We arrived at the Mount Washington Hotel at about 10 a.m. and Jay is already on the golf course.

I was very lucky that my suite was ready and I was able to get settled in early! I have an awesome huge jacuzzi tub surrounded by windows all over looking the mountains. It is simply so inviting that I can't wait to use it.

Even surrounded by fog this place is lovely.

Our REALTOR convention begins tonight and tomorrow night I get sworn in as the 2009 President Elect. I'm pretty excited about that and the fact that I am presenting a session on Blogging and Social Networking.

The next three days will busy but well worth the time spent. You can never get too much education...never close the book on learning as I like to say and really that is what this convention is all about.

NH Bikers...Seacoast Grenway grand opening

NH SeacoastIf you enjoy the outdoors especially walking and biking you'll love the New Hampshire Seacoast Greenway!

In case you don't know what that is, it's a proposed rail trail system from the Massachusetts border to Maine and while currently it is on road the hope and goal is for an off road system.

Jay and I enjoy our bikes but truth be told riding on the street can be scary at times, so I'd love an off road system. Join the celebration grand opening on today Saturday September 20th.

There are two rides planned today as well as a walk. The NH seacoast is beautiful and today is a perfect day to get outdoors and enjoy it.
