Columbia and Boone County Planning and Zoning set meeting to gain input from residents in the Lake of the Woods area

Planning and Zoning meeting to gain input on residents in the Lake of the Woods area.

I'm your neighbor and I'm just as curious as you are to see how the new High School is going to effect our "community"

The Columbia and Boone County planning and zoning commission are working together to come up with a sub-area plan to guide the change our part of town will experience with the addition of Columbia's third high school.

At a 7 p.m. public meeting Thursday, May 1 in the Boone County Commission chambers at the Boone County Government Center, commissions will share information on the area while gathering public comment as they decide what the area should look like in the future.

Pat Smith said it best "These are people who live in the county, and all of a sudden, they're going to find themselves in the city. Part of it is just making people think about the fact that these things are going to change and giving them a chance to say how they think they should change."

Don't be surprised or caught off guard, be a part of the process and let your voice be heard.
