I was reading a blog earlier about taking time off for ones mental health.
I agree and offer this additional thought regarding time away.
Upon your return you are awakened by the idea ...these things I do and see keeps me living where I do. Yesterday I sat at the beach on lake Michigan, and today I was back to work in New Hampshire.
After A tough day of catch up, I walked in the woods and enjoyed a walk around the reasons I live here.
I had to share my view from the hammock.
Home...Is more than a place to sleep indoors
In case I have to sleep outside...there is always man-camp down by the river.
Fish may be biting.
Tough place to leave when you live in the mountains.
Pretty cool place to come back too. All these were taken in my yard after work tonight.

There is something for every one...Athletes will be inspired by the "reach the beach relay".

The 200 mile Race from Franconia Notch to Hampton beach, has been billed as the longest relay in the United States (Friday am start). Approximately 5,000 people will be involved in the race...consisting of 400 teams. The race will last between 20-30 hours and teams of 6 to 12 members will run this relay through 31 towns in route to the sea. Some of the beneficiaries of the race (through fund-raising activities) will be the New Hampshire Coalition against domestic & Sexual violence, and the Alzheimer's Association.(more info www.rtbrelay.com/home.php).

The Scottish Highland games Return to Loon Mountain in Lincoln NH. This three day event starts on Friday and goes throughout the weekend. Events include Pipe and Drum marching bands, Highland dancers, strongmen competition, sheep dog trials, nightly concerts, whiskey tasting events, food kilts, and music. In the past the event has drawn upwards of 30,000 participants and guests. (more info www.loonmtn.com)

The Sylvania 300 Nascar race at Loudon international speedway. A whole host of racing events begin on Friday September 18th. Starting with the Sprint cup series, then Camping World series, Saturday the Whelen modified tour & the American Canadian Tour events are scheduled. Then the main event is the Sylvania 300 on Sunday, for tickets directions and information (www.nhms.com) New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon NH.
A full slate of activites await you this weekend in New Hampshire...Run walk or drive, it all depends on what you are into.
A lease can be a detriment to selling at the same time, and most Realtors would rather the place remain empty while attempting an out of state sale. In this situation though it maybe just the right plan for a buyer.
This beautiful Condominium is for sale (asking Price $285,00)...and also has a lease starting November 1st, for a six months ski season rental ($8,500 to be prorated to the buyer at closing).
Three great reasons to look at a pre-booked rental property for purchase
1) If you are trying to identify a replacement property for a 1031 like kind exchange…one with a current rental is a great way to show investment income from the very start.
2)If you have a property for sale, and can’t envision purchasing before you sell… a pre-rented property will come with fewer objections from it’s seller in making the sale subject to another closing taking place first.
3)You will have no concerns about trying to remove the tenant at the end of the lease. This is a seasonal rental when the ski season is over they will not wish to extend the terms (and live elsewhere full time).
River front townhouse building

The Pemigewasset River is abutting the condominium, and access to the south Mountain bridge is also adjacent to the property.
Loon mountain Escape Route Trail is a 100 yards to the south, so you can walk home after skiing .
If you are interested in purchasing a great location with a fixed lease term already in place and you want to be riverside and slope side at Loon Mountain this maybe just the ticket for your families long term goal. Location and income to off-set expenses right from the start of your ownership.

I have been doing this type of post a lot lately, but it's fall and it's absolutely beautiful in Northern New England this time of year. So I live in Woodstock New Hampshire, which is an hour north of the State Capital in Concord and just far enough away from most of the politicians and Massachusetts boarder jumpers to be considered life in the North country. Here are some of my favorite photos taken close by where I live.

The covered Bridge , mirror image reflections and a couple of Canadian Geese make for a nice composition.

Under the shade of a large oak tree the river slides quietly past.

A blue Sky Day looking north towards the Lafayette Mountain Range.

Just a hint of Color in this otherwise evergreen forest...the leaves are changing and should hit there peak around the First Day of Autumn September 22nd...Take a ride north and see the many nice views in New Hampshire.
Even when I roll into work the ride is enjoyable...the entrance ramp to the highway, it's almost too bad I only have one exit to travel before I get off to go to the office...5 miles isn't enough time to enjoy the ride.
This is my back yard, and my commute so why not make it today's White Mountain Photo Journey as well.

Many of the second home/condos are considering long term rentals in order to keep the cost of ownership reasonable in our current economic situation. The owner gets the income and utilities taken care of for there second home investment, and the tenant gets the benefit of the common areas and amenities of a condominium.

This is a win -win proposition, and how about this view from your deck?
Or the shared Lobby Great Room with fireplace , WiFi, and huge flat screen tv for the game.

Indoor pool...with Jacuzzi, billiards room, game room, coin laundry, outdoor pool , tennis and ski season shuttle service are all on site for your convenience...and you can walk to a shopping-dinning plaza.
...oh and it's on the river.
Typical Living Room Dinning Room Combination with slider off to your river view deck. These are mostly one bedroom condominiums of approximately 600 square feet ,are offered fully furnished and rents are $650/ month (a few studios are less..and one bedroom with loft is more) all require the tenant to take the utilities in their name and all make great yearly rentals. Also ask about 6 month seasonal terms for slightly more...and must be paid for the full term up front.
