There is a saying that everyone loves a parade and the annual Mother Lode Rounup Parade held on mother day weeked in the City of Sonora is one of the best. I understand that its the second longhest parade in California.
The parade has something for everyone, horses, proud and deserving veterans, children viewing marching bands.
The following link depicts photo of the parade and its annual event.

Dragoon Gulch Trail formally opens Friday May 2 with a opening ceremony at 11:00am. The ceremony will take place at Wood Creek Rotary Park off of Stocton Street..
The trail is 2.5 mile loop and the walk is easy to strenuous.
Its a great asset in the City of Sonora and the trail is open to all.
I have used the trail for dog walking said Vicki kennedy a Sonora resident & merchant.
The city of Sonora will eventually add to the trail another 68 acres purchased from Robert E Cutler a Sonora resident.
This location is a great benefit for those who live in the City of Sonora , Mother Lode Town of 5,000 residents.
if you enjoy the outdoors, Sonora has many benefits and this is another example of the private sector and the City of Sonora offering quality of life features that benefit all citizens.
