iphone App CARDS, looks like a good tool for Realtors!

Good Morning!

Today as part of my 2012 Be THe Best I Can Be Today plan I have purchased the app CARDS for my iphone.

This app will CREATE and MAIL beautifully crafted greeting cards for you. We are able to personalize the message with our own text and photos. It is applicable to the iphone and ipod touch - elegant cards $2.99 for each card sent in the US and a higher price for those sent outside the US.

I think this would be a good tool for Realtors - think of all the uses? No need to go to the greeting card store, no need to look for the correct postage, being able to customize the cards for the correct and proper occassion.

I have never viewed a card in the greeting card store which states "Congratulations on Signing Your Purchase and Sales Agreement!" - have you? But wouldn't that be a nice touch.

Please let me know what you think of this application and wishing you the Best You Can Be Today!

Regards

Make sure to Bat-proof your home!

How many times have we stood at close to dark and watched the bats fly in the backyard, never really thinking about anything outside of a summer's night or a horror movie viewing...
But now it is time to rethink the safety issues associated with the Bat population and how it affects our personal homes and loved ones.
Last week in Massachusetts unfortunately a very nice gentleman who had been bitten by a bat passed away at only 63 years of age. He was a resident of Cape Cod, Massachusetts (Marston Mills).
It is most important that should you find a bat in your home and if it may have bitten someone to capture the bat alive if possible so that it may be tested to assist with the process to determine the health of the bat. The state testing labs assist local vetrinarians with the testing. The local Vet prepares the bat and then ships it to the state labs who conduct the extensive testing.
We are told it is a rarity to have rabies passed to a human in Massachusetts from a bat. If you see a bat flapping around on the floor, do not go near it, let it alone and most likely it will die of it's own accord but this flapping is a sympton of rabies, do not go near it!
It is important to keep your living quarters as tight as possible and if you do find bats in your home the best solution is to try and let them vacate on their own, dying bats can cause a terrible odor in the house.
Should you need additional information on bats in Massachusetts and health and safety precautions please check out the website below:
Let's stay safe and remember that we can still enjoy dusk in Massachusetts but keep your precautions in mind regarding bat activity!

Boston Business Journal Massachusetts Film Tax Credit Survey

Good Morning All,

In Massachusetts there has been alot of discussion back and forth regarding whether Tax Credits are the right way to go with the Massachusetts Film Industry.

As a Realtor I believe that the fact that movies are made in our area increases tourism and is a natural advertiser to our area both to visit and to reside in. Each movie helps many small businesses in the area with the many supplies that a movie may need such as food, flowers, temporary workers, clerical, transportation, security and more. Should the movie be a big hit fans love to visit the neighborhoods and areas the movies were about or filmed in, just human nature to want to connect.

Great conversation and debate has revolved around the Massachusetts Film Industry tax credits. This has given me good reason to review the facts and fiction around tax credits. A number of the press articles surrounding the film tax credits makes the under informed believe that this only specific to the film industry, take a few moments and look into tax credits, there are tax credits for numerous industries in Massachusetts and more importantly look at those corporations that benefit from Massachusetts Tax Credits.

The Boston Business Journal is conducting a survey on how you feel as a consumer and tax payer feel about the Massachusetts Film Industry Tax Credit. Please take a moment and respond whether you agree or disagree, please respond. You can enter your response on the following link:

http://www.bizjournals.com/boston/poll/poll/7155461?ana=twt%C2%A0

I thank you for your participation and also encourage you to learn more about tax credits in Massachusetts.

I also have the recently released state goverment report on the Massachusetts Film Industry and relationship to tax credits, please email me MaryBeth@TradeWindsRealtyGroup.com and I would be happy to forward to you.
