THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX

I love the concept of thinking outside the box. I am sure you have seen the picture of the 9 dots perfectly lined up and you are challenged to connect the dots without lifting your pen and without retracing your steps.

The first time I was asked to solve this problem, I could not do it, and when I was shown the solution, a whole new world of possibilities opened up for me. There are so many other exercises like this, but this was the 1st one I was introduced to, and I have never forgotten it! It seems that successful entrepreneurs think outside the box, and i
t seems that great ideas are born outside the box.

So, can you be successful inside the box? Can great ideas be born inside the box? Let me know what you think about that, or send me some examples of great inside and outside the box thinking.

I am attaching a link to a short video a friend of mine posted on Facebook. It is an example of wonderful innovative thinking and use of today's technology. Hope you enjoy it, and please let me know what you think.

And here is my final question: "How has thinking outside the box served you in life?"

Boulder County Biking! (it's not all up hill)

Of course you can go into the mountains to ride up hill and to get some incredible exercise. Riding up those hills in spandex is not really my thing. I am in awe of the people who do, and most of them make it look SO easy. I prefer to ride the country roads of Boulder County. It's not all up hill, and yet it's a good workout! Here are some pictures that my husband took this past weekend, right before we hiked a trail that we recently discovered after living in Boulder for 17 years. It is now our favorite trail, but that is a story for my next blog entry.

Best part of the ride (my husband likes the writing on the cup!)

Almost home!

Hope you're enjoying my summer picture journal!

Beautiful Boulder Summers (and my first blog)

I am officially a blogger. I signed up with Active Rain, and I am slowly finding out what the whole blogging and Twitter world is all about. So, here is what I will do. I will let you know what is happening in Boulder County. Real Estate happenings of course, but I will also let you know what else is going on. Like Bands on the Bricks on Pearl Street, every Wednesday night during the summer. This Wednesday, July 21, come listen and dance to the ancient Latin/African music traditions of Kutandara. Or enjoy local veggies and fruit from our wonderful local Boulder County farmers, at the Boulder Farmers' Market on Wednesdays from 4PM to 8PM and Saturdays from 8AM to 2PM. If dancing and veggies are not your thing, there are some wonderful and funny street performers, great restaurants and delicious ice cream to be enjoyed. Nothing says summer like a stroll in downtown Boulder on a balmy July evening.

As far as real estate happenings are concerned, here is some positive news, that was sent to me by Land Title Guarantee Company. I thought this might be of interest to you:
