Dear Nancy,

I had always heard that buying a new house was stressful. What an understatement! In a hot market where the nice houses sell a day or two after they are listed, it seemed that all the houses I liked had "sold" signs on them! I met you just when I was getting discouraged about finding a house that met my dreams and budget.

From the beginning, you listened. Other agents just seemed to want to drag me to any house that was available. You took the time to find out what I wanted. You also watched to see my reaction to a house so you could "find tune" the next selection of houses that you recommended. I have to admit that my list of requirements didn't make it easy, but you stuck with me. Finally, one day you called and said, "if at all possible, drop what you're doing and come see this house that came on the market this morning." We wrote the contract, and before I knew it, yet another nice house was sold a day after it was listed - but this time I was the buyer!

Of course you helped with all the normal details of the purchase, but you were really a champ in handling the unexpected problems that came up. Friends could hardly believe how a freak summer storm damaged the house just before my move. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been there to help with the difficult negotiations that followed.

Dear Nancy,

We want to thank you again for your help with the sale of our old home and the purchase of our new home. Without your tenacity and dedication neither would have happened - a fact that was confirmed to us by the seller himself.

Your refusal to let the previous owner simply reject our contract led to subsequent negotiations which resulted in a contract that both parties could agree upon. Your ability to negotiate with the previous owner and to allay his concerns were key factors in his eventual acceptance of our offer. Moreover, beyond the initial negotiations, your services became doubly important because the previous owner did not have a real estate agent and your efforts became increasingly vital to both parties in the settlement process. Even though this entire process required more time and effort on your part than we are sure you anticipated, you never complained or failed to give less than 100%.
