Clayton NC Home Inspector inspects house for builder warranty

09-23-08
Jayme Clarke
We were hired as a Clayton NC Home Inspector to inspect a home for its one year warranty. This house was built well and we only found 12 items that needed attention. The most significant item we found as a Clayton NC Home Inspector was a problem with the flashing where the garage roof joined the side of the house. The flashing ran behind the siding. So, water running down the step flashing would end up going behind the siding. Over time, this can cause significant structural damage and could create a mold problem. Home Inspection Four Oaks (Raleigh NC area) reveals Termite damage

Our Raleigh NC home inspector completed an inspection in Four Oaks NC today. It had the typical issues but the big item was the massive termite infestation on the girders and joists in the crawl space. This photo shows only a small portion of the infestation. My screwdriver popped through the girder about as easily as pushing it through cardboard. Home Inspector 27519 for Builder Warranty Inspection in Cary NC

Our company was hired as a home inspector in 27519 zip code for a builder one year warranty inspection. Additional information can be viewed here. This was a large house in Cary NC and the owner had us test for Radon too (results not in yet). The highlight of this home inspection was that they had several rafters that were not in contact with the ridge beam in the attic - they were off by about 3/4 of an inch! As for why these were not braced... The flashing around a flue for the gas furnace was improperly tucked under the shingles at its trailing edge. This can channel water under the shingles - not what we want. Several other important items then lots of smaller things noted by this home inspector.

We inspected a beautiful home (2,800 sq ft ranch) today in Raleigh 27610. It had several significant items: shingles cracked and gaps revealing the roofing paper below, puddles in the crawl space and general dampness, foundation wall that was leaning and had loose blocks as noted in the crawl space. There were about 30 other items as well but those are the big ones. We did our job as a home inspector and spent four hours going over this house. For more info, visit us here.

Raleigh Home Inspection 27616 - builder warranty

We inspected a one year old house today in Raleigh NC (27616) and surprised the owner. We were hired to perform a Raleigh Home Inspection and found about 20 items that need repair. The most interesting one is that both air handlers in the attic had large holes in them (about 3 inches by 16 inches). This allowed unconditioned (hot as heck in the summer and cold in winter) air to enter the HVAC system. Talk about burdening the system! Additionally, fiberglass from the insulation will also enter and distribute through the house. For additional details about home inspections in 27616 and other areas, visit our site
