Apex NC Home Inspection Foreclosure

09-15-08

When inspecting a foreclosure, the best scenario is for the utilities to be on - power, water, gas (if applicable). This way, when we do your home inspection, we can fully evaluate all of the systems and components. We did a home inspection in Apex NC last week and it did not have power or water so we'll have to come back later.

Another Raleigh NC home inspection

Clear Choice Home Inspections inspected another home in Raleigh NC. This was a 1950's house and it looked ok from the outside - new roof, decent siding, interior was pretty decent too. The crawl space in this home revealed a different story. Massive damage from wood destroying insects (read: termites) had consumed large portions of the band joist, girders and floor joists in several areas. Big money needed to correct these issues!

Apex NC home inspection (no radon test)

We inspected a two-year old, 1,100 sq ft town home in Apex NC today and were surprised to find nearly 20 items that needed repair. A hallway smoke detector that was not tied to the others, outdoor receptacles that were not GFCI protected, a toilet that ran, damp soil and foundation wall in the crawl space.... A home inspection by Clear Choice Home Inspections is very important and always pays for itself. The buyer declined radon testing. More infohere.

Raleigh Home Inspection on a foreclosure - less than 10 years old

We did a Raleigh Home Inspection the other day on a foreclosure and we discovered a plumbing leak under the shower, a heating and air unit (heat pump) that did not work, and overfused wire in the main electrical panel, flashing around a roof vent that was tucked under the shingles on the front side (will divert water under the shingles as opposed to on top of them) plus several other things. Some foreclosures in Raleigh are pretty bad off, some nearly perfect. This one was about in the middle. Our Raleigh NC home inspection services cover all of Wake and Johnston Counties and parts of the surrounding counties. View more at our site.

Home inspection Clayton NC today on new house

I inspected a house in Clayton NC today that was about 2,800 sq ft. Overall it was in pretty good shape. It did have one framing problem in the attic and my Johnston County NC inspection also reviled a series of non-filtered HVAC return ducts - this can cause inefficient operation and long-term damage. There were other items such as a loose toilet, running toilet, shingles that were not flat and sharp screws used to hold the cover on the electrical panel (sharp screws are a no-no b/c they can pierce wires). Overall, the home inspection in Clayton NC (E. of Raleigh) went well. For more info, see our site
