I'm losing a short sale listing to foreclosure.

I have listed a nice home for sale in Springfield, MO as a short sale and have done everything I can to get it sold prior to the foreclosure date. I have had a wonderful seller to work with who has been cooperative and helpful. We have not received an offer on this home and so it is going to be foreclosed on TOMORROW. I have had success with short sales in the Springfield MO area in the past and this is the first one I am losing to foreclosure -Disappointing! The hardest part about seeing this home go to foreclosure is that when you work with a seller on a short sale, you really get to know them well, in a very difficult situation. In my past life, I was a social worker and my job was to assist in solving problems for my clients. I couldn't do it this time!

In college basketball, they are calling this rivalry week. I attended Kansas University and I am a die hard JAYHAWK FAN - Rock chalk Jayhawk go KU!! I have lived in Nixa, Missouri for 15 years now. There are quite a few Mizzou fans around here. Last night KU played MU (quite a rivalry). When they aren't playing against each other I do root for MU. Just a side note to this also, my daughter, who is a senior in high school is planning on attending MU next year and is going to tryout for cheerleader there! If any of you happened to watch the game last night, KU led by 14 points at the half and led for 99% of the game - they lost 60 to 62! I'll get over it eventually and have already had a few phone calls asking me if I am OK. Tonight the Nixa, Missouri High School basketball team plays the Ozark, High School team. These two wonderful suburban cities of Springfield, Missouri are situated right next to each other and are HUGE RIVALS! Nixa and Ozark are both great towns in Christian County, which is one of the fastest growing counties in the state of Missouri. I am lucky enough to be a real estate agent in the RE/MAX Solutions office, in Ozark, Mo. I sell real estate in Nixa, Mo and in Ozark, Mo! Needless to say, this makes for a great night of basketball for me and I really hope I don't have to have any phone calls tomorrow morning asking if I am OK!
