Listed a house today that had minimal floodwaters in Katrina.... only ONE FOOT. Listed the house for $150k - beautiful structure...solid & clean. Sellers had a company perform mold fumigation at a cost of $25,500. Was blown away. Most homes here were treated for around $5,000 - 7,000... TWO 18-wheelers drove up to this 2040s.f. home & must have killed every little mold spore in the neighborhood!
Has anyone had experience with mold remediation in their market? This is a common practice post-Katrina.

Viewed a listing in Metairie today that needs work, but is very similar to a Camelback Mtn. listing on this network. - listed for $899k. Metairie property is 3029 Clifford & listed at $320k ( will be sold for less since it needs a kitchen & some exterior repairs.) What a fabulous place... MLS #749668, New Orleans.
This area has a shortage of Mid Century Modern homes... especially after Hurricane Katrina destroyed such a large number of them. Many were demolished & others rebuilt. What a mission of love for those who rebuilt the homes! We are forever grateful.

Attended a Regional RE/MAX conference today & one suggestion was to join Active Rain.... here goes. Lots of technology out there - but would like recommendations on a decent SMALL camcorder for short videos. Any suggestions?
