Use your retirement account to invest in real estate

I am currently enrolled in classes to obtain my GRI designation (Graduate Realtor Institute). One of my classes was on tax planning. I learned a lot about self directed IRA's. A lot of people have large retirement accounts and are tired of having all of their money in the ups and downs of the stock market. Retirement accounts can own real estate but probably not with the current company you are using. There are companies that specialize in real estate IRA's such as Entrust (www.entrustadmin.com), Lincoln Trust (www.lincolntrust.com), and Sterling Trust (www.sterling-trust.com). Of course, there are a lot of rules and regs concerning these investments but I think it is definitely worth looking into. I own investment real estate and it has been more stable than the stock market in recent years. Visit my teachers website at www.tomlundstedt.com for more info on using your retirement account to invest in real estate. Call me when you are ready to buy in the Raleigh, NC area!
