2011 December Blogging ChallengeKeep Your House On The Market For The Holidays

As a Realtor for many, many years I often hear sellers say they want to take their home off the market for the holidays. Don't do it. The holidays are a wonderful time to showcase your home.

What other time of the year does your home look prettier? How inviting are the smells of holiday baking and cooking? Most buyers can visualize entertaining. Nothing nicer than coming into a well light, warm and inviting living room on a cold winter day.

The really big draw for keeping your home available this season is that only really motivated buyers are out looking. Nosey neighbors and casual shoppers are home getting ready for their own holiday.

And last but not least, you only need ONE BUYER, JUST ONE. If your home is not available, that ONE BUYER will buy someone else's house.
