Sammaish Washington's own Sunny Hills Elementary School get's "Great School" award.

The small but might Sunny Hills Mustaings have much to be proud of. This year the Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE) and the Washington Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa International bestowed the mighty Mustaings the "Great School" award. The "Great School" award was given to only 55 elementary schools.
Sarah White the schools principal was quoted on Issaquah School District's website saying, "We are honored to be recognized with this award, and we are very proud of our students and our school," and "This is the result of a school community with staff and parents that are completely focused on the success of every child."
Like all good schools Sunny Hills had help from the Parent Teacher Student Accociation(PTSA). PTSA Secretary Lisa Edwards said, "The parents of Sunny Hills students are partiacly responsible for the award, as the PTSA helps to raise crutial funds needed for the Math and Reading BEL programs."
"In the area of literacy, Sunny Hills provides programs such as the Young Authors Celebration week, during which each student writes and illustrates a professionally published book. The Benchmark Enrichment Learning (BEL) program provides extra reading support for all qualifying students.
In the area of math, Sunny Hills has focused on a unified implementation of the Everyday Math curriculum, which has included team collaboration on math assessments, small-group strategies, and targeted assistance for students with unique needs, such as English-language learners. The school has established a Math BEL program to provide struggling students with extra support." -Issaquah School District
Congrats to both Sunny Hills Elementary School's students, teachers and parents for making Sammamish Wasington students smarter!
If you are considering a move to the Bellevue WA area take a long hard look at the Lakemont area. Lakemont is conveniently located just south of I-90. If you new to the area I-90 is a freeway that runs East - West. For many commuters into Seattle, I-90 is the most direct route. While freeway access is great, Lakemont is also a community that has it all. Starting with a excellent supermarket Matthew's Thriftway is perfect for everything you need, yet they have the specialty products you want from a smaller more discerning customer.
Schools are always important. The majority of Lakemont is in the Issaquah School District. Two Elementary Schools service the area. Cougar Ridge and Sunset Elementary, Issaquah Middle School, and Issaquah High School.
Two private schools stand out in the area one is the Open Window School for the Gifted, the other is Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart.
Here is a short list of the many other amenities both community and commerce that you will find in the area:

The Truth about today's Market.(that nobody is talking about)
It is easy to understand why you might lack confidence in buying or selling a home in today's economic climate, especially if you started your day reading the newspaper headlines and end it with the evening news. Bad news can deepen our fears and concerns about the economy. That news however is changing a bit. Take a look at some of the most recent news headlines:
http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/20063753/detail.html
http://www.reuters.com/article/GCA-Economy/idUSTRE56E4WT20090715
One thing you need to remember is that the media like to be dramatic and it selectively reports negative/sensational news to pull in an audience(and advertisers.)
There has been a plethora of reports about foreclosure records and here are the facts.
During a recession, those that work hard and focus on taking action will most likely come out ahead when things turn around. Instead of internalizing the negativity the headlines can cause, choose to be optimistic and focus on the opportunities around you.
The good news is that you have the choice to see yourself as a victim or as a fighter.
Are there people buying and selling homes today? Yes, Here are the local homes sold in the last 90 days.
Here is how buyers can win in today's market.
There is still time to take advantage of lower home prices and historically low interest rates. And despite what the nightly news reports, financing is reeadily available for qualified buyers.
As you know we seek to provide you and your referrals with the highest level of service available. If someone you know is interested in knowing more about the housing market. Please contact us at 206-818-8816 Feel free to distribute this flyer to interested parties. Here is the link!
