How can you get a major adrenaline rush driving at one mile per hour? I recently had the opportunity to attend the Land Rover Experience Driving School at the beautiful Quail Lodge in Carmel, California.
With a professional driving instructor by my side, I learned how to navigate incredible off-road obstacles. Descents down extremely steep hills, side tilts (yes, having the car literally tilted sideways on an angle), and rock crawls were a part of the excitement. The 2008 Range Rover that I drove overcame all of the challenges with grace and ease.
I must admit it was a little unnerving to start the vehicle down a scary steep hill without using any brakes, but the amazing Hill Descent Control (HDC) technology activated and I was able to glide to the bottom. Very impressive.
One can start with a Lesson to learn the basics, and then graduate to a Trails class to practice skills on more difficult terrain.
Pricing starts at $225 for a one-hour Lesson, $325 for a two-hour Lesson, and $325 for a two-hour Trail. Full day experiences are available. For more information, visit the Land Rover Driving Experience School online.. There are also locations at the Equinox Resort in Vermont, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and at the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello in Canada.

Exciting news crossed the AP Newswire this morning that the 2009 Michelin guidebook for Las Vegas has given its top hotel rating to Wynn Las Vegas. The Wynn earned the guide's top honor of five red pavillions, which it shares with eight other hotels in North America. "Wynn's posh playground leaves little to be desired," the guide said.
I am pleased that both Robin Bezanson and I have received the prestigious Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation from The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. To achieve this designation, we had to undergo extensive training in analyzing the luxury home market, providing quality service, and achieving effective results in the high-end residential market. We also had to prove that we have been successful marketing luxury properties within our marketplace.
For our achievements in the million-dollar and above market, we have also been awarded membership in the Institute's Million Dollar Guild.
It is our ongoing commitment to provide our clients with a true "luxury experience" no matter what type of property they seek or wish to have us market. Please contact us to discuss how we can be of service to you.
How do you capture the magic of an exceptional luxury home and convey that to prospective buyers? They say that a picture is worth a thousand words; however, in most cases, that is not enough. Sometimes there is a story that needs to be told about what makes a home special and the place where you want to live. It needs to be able to leap off the page and become alive.
I use video to tell that story. It needs to be more than a walk through of the property with a musical score. I come up with a story board to outline the flow, then work with the production team to spin the tale.
Please watch this video that I had produced for one of my client's homes. It shows the story of how my clients shed blood, sweat, and tears to add beauty, elegance, and simplicity to their Silicon Valley home. Not only does it showcase their efforts, but it features many of the reasons why their Morgan Hill neighborhood is a great place to live. It is a powerful message that you cannot tell with pictures, brochures, or other conventional marketing techniques.
Does this type of innovative marketing appeal to you? Please contact me via email or call me at (877) 765-2347 and let's see how we can tell the story of your exceptional home.
