Welcome to this week's Pensacola real estate market report. Pensacola home sales are starting to come up. The table shows 50 more homes sold than the previous week, and total homes for sale has dropped a little also. Watch for more weekly updates to see if this trend continues.

Perdido Key Florida Condo super deal

In this real estate market, there are deals to be found. Some are better than others. One just came on the market today that is an exceptional deal, so I wanted to let my readers know about it. The inventory of active homes on the market leveled off last week, increasing by only 8 new homes for sale. Pensacola is in a strong buyer's market, but the buyers do not seem ready to come out and take advantage of the great deals available.

Goodbye Jubilee, Hello Contrada Hills (Well Maybe)

Jubiliee was to be the first development of its kind in Northwest Florida. Maybe there hasn't been one here before because this area could not support such a development. The Pensacola Beach Blogger has written an article on this issue that makes for an interesting read. Much more interesting in fact than the Pensacola News Journal article, which goes on endlessly, describing every nuance of the case.

And this new name, "Contrada Hills". The first thing that comes to my mind is the word Contradiction. Don't get me wrong, I would love a development like that in Santa Rosa County. I just don't think this area can support the sales of that many homes in that price range, especially in this down market.
