High Speed Line Proposed for Florida - Tampa - Orlando - Miami

This is huge for Florida, and with Stimulus Money sitting idle, there is a good chance this one will fly (or rail). Governor Crist submitted Florida's proposal for a high speed line to the federal government on October 2nd. The proposed rail line would run between Tampa, Orlando and Miami. The first leg of the line is the Tampa to Orlando route at at cost of $2.5 billion. The Miami extension is estimated to cost at least $8 billion. If the federal government approves the first leg, it could be operational by 2014. The propsed start date for the Miami line would be 2017. These are the kinds of projects Florida needs to ensure growth and the ability to attract new businesses. For the Treasure Coast it means high speed travel to Miami, Orlando and the Gulf Coast of Tampa. I can't wait.

More Good Employment News for Stuart, Florida and Martin County

The good news for Stuart and Martin County seems like it is a daily event. TurboCombustor Technology just broke ground for a new parking lot and is considering placing a building on the site. The Martin County Commissioners approved a $60,000 grant to the company to support the expansion plans at TurboCombustor.

With 375 employees, and a 15% employee growth, while the country is facing ever increasing unemployment, this is just another reason why real estate has performed better in Martin County than surrounding counties.
