Massive Agri-Industrial Project Propsed for Martin County, Florida

Turner Groves Limited Partnership, a Fort Myers company, has proposed to build a massive agricultural and industrial project in Martin County with a new road and bridge to Port St. Lucie. The project would cover 1,782 acres and include a 5-million-square-foot industrial park, 1 million square feet of office space, 200,000 square feet of retail space and 500 hotel rooms.

As large as this plan is, it is still dwarfed by the proposed Southern Groves plan in Port St. Lucie with 2 million square feet of office space, 2 million square feet of industrial space, 2 million square feet of retail space and 7,388 houses.

These are just two more of the many examples we are starting to see of Light at the End of the Tunnel for the Treasure Coast.

Best Omelettes, Breakfasts and Sandwiches in Jensen Beach, Florida

Jan's Place is on the move again. After being out of town for two years, and then returning to their old spot on the Jensen Beach circle, they've decided to do it right. The Trudel family, Bob, Jan, Katie and Matthew are reopening down the street in the former Kilwins at 1990 NE Jensen Beach Boulevard.

They've had the windows covered with paper, so we can't even get a peek inside, but I'm sure it is going to WOW everyone. By the way, for those of you planning on visiting for the first time, their is plenty of parking in the rear.

The Grand Opening is set for November 1st. All I can say is: "I can't wait!"

Massive Project Proposed for Martin County, Florida

With good news like this coming out daily, it is only a matter of time before the Main Stream Media starts to focus on Martin County and the Treasure Coast. Martin County Continues to Shine

The good news for Stuart and Martin County seems like it is a daily event. TurboCombustor Technology just broke ground for a new parking lot and is considering placing a building on the site. The Martin County Commissioners approved a $60,000 grant to the company to support the expansion plans at TurboCombustor.

With 375 employees, and a 15% employee growth, while the country is facing ever increasing unemployment, this is just another reason why real estate has performed better in Martin County than surrounding counties.
For homeowners, this means a larger tax base and better tax rates than surrounding counties that are NOT seeing this kind of growth. For homeowners, you must also remember, the future growth for residential housing will be out West on the orange groves and cattle farms. The growth we are experiencing in Martin County will not have a negative impact on the quality of life we enjoy here. And remember, we still have a 35 foot height restriction on buildings that may eventually come down to 25 feet.
