We have Honor Card participants that are very motivated to work to provide donations per transaction in the name of our buyers and sellers.

In our area our donations go to benefit Cox Health Systems.

I am proud to say that I am an Honor Card Agent!

Here's what I am thinking- Since COX benefits greatly from our CMN donations, and COX is a major employer in the area, somehow we need to encourage a relationship between the COX employees and our wonderful RE/MAX agents. (When I say wonderful agent- I am meaning- ME)

I will go on record to suggest that for 2010, I will personally put "High-Priority" to the real estate needs of COX employees and their family and/or friends.

Give me a call if you are wanting to buy or sell in the Springfield,MO area.

I am available to answer your questions and am here to exceed your expectations.

Be good- cheryl (proud supporter of CMN since 2004)willis

Call Steve Olson, 417-619-4523 Springfield, MO for Piano Restoration, Rebuild and Refinishing

Eariler I wrote a post about the Hammond Organ I am wondering what TO-DO with.

Every story has a part II, so as the saga continues here is the next part of my dilemma:

Daughter-in-law has a piano she wants kept in the family, just not at her house. I would prefer to have the piano over the organ primary b/c it is important to Kelly and I like the wood finish on the piano vs the painted black console of the organ.

My thought was how hard can it be to fine a tuner type person and trade (barter) the organ for a fix up on the piano. Let me tell you it is harder than one thinks. Evidently organ and piano are two different worlds.

I called a local, found in the phone book piano place and inquired if any techs might be interested in the Hammond for service on the piano. The person I spoke with was very nice and took my info, the brand etc on the organ. I called back a couple of days later to update the gal with info on the piano.

I was informed that none of her guys were interested, in fact they don't even service my 'brand' of piano. She was nice enough to give me a number to a guywho does elec/tech stuff on organs. I asked if she knew anyone who did pianos and was told "NO NOT" to my brand.

Here's the funny part of the story and why I am writing this post. When I called Jerry Pettijohnabout the organ, he immediately knew a great guy to ask about the piano. Don't you just love how asking the right questions even to the wrong person leads to finding the answer you need.

While talking with Jerry about my 'needs', I took time to Google his referral. Steve Olson, is semi-retired from sales but is totally into piano restoration, rebuilding and refinishing. He will even move one for you if you ask nice. He is not in the phone book! Here is where I get to help the "non-store brand" piano owners in Springfield- instead of being told by the brick and mortar that you need to upgrade- call Steve Olson- 417-619-4523 and see if he can't help you bring your baby back to life.

One more reason that I am taking the time to jot this down about Steve is that he took the time to give me the pros and cons of working on the piano. He also was able to give me a ball park (I call it a guess-ta-ment) on cost to tune. As soon as I figure out how to get the room re-arranged and the piano on an inside wall, Steve is getting my call. I can't wait to meet him in person.

You can bet I will be showing off pictures of my new KEY BANGER, hopefully pretty soon.- be good cw

organ

I am going to make my post today about this Hammond. Back story is I was given this instrument by a friend who was moving. He had not 'played' in awhile but 'it works just fine'.

I don't have to tell you how thrilled my Hubby was to get to bring it home.

I don't really want or need an organ BUT..... I did play when I was younger and thought my sister might like to have this at her house for her girls. (Wrong- - note to self, call first before moving any heavy objects)

If any Music people are looking at the photo and dying that it is sitting in front of a window (on an outside wall mind you) plz know that this is the before shot.

You are right to be concerned. The next picture is how nice and dusty a piece can get when not in use and stored by an open window.

back side

I found enough info out in Cyber-Space to know that I was not going to 'clean this up' myself. Too make a short story long, I was able to 'find' Jerry Pettijohn out of Springfield MO to consult on the pros and cons of taking the time to get this beauty serviced.

In all honesty, I only brought it home for sis. I don't really have the room to keep it. (Reminds me of my pre-teen yrs- honest mom, it just followed me home) What I would like to do is find her a good home. Someone who knows enough about this brand that they can enjoy hearing her play again.

So whether I call Jerry (417-883-2745) to clean her up or you do doesn't matter to me. If you know anyone in the area looking for a Hammond give me a call to see if I am still babysitting, you might want to hurry, b/c I am known to adopt pretty quick once I bond.

As is in every good story there is a part two. Don't worry about staying tuned, I am off to write it now.
