Pre-Grand Opening Introduction: Main Street Market MT Vernon MO

COMMING SOON!

mm

As a disclosure, I KNOW this is not a good professional photo (everyone who knows me, knows I am all about being professional!) The News Leader did a very nice front page add in this weeks paper. They will e-mail me their picture and I will edit this on Monday.

I am so excited about all the work that has gone into getting this new business up and running. I know the people of our town are going to be thrilled to see the doors open. We have our local Apple Butter Making Days coming up in Oct. What a great community event it will be adding a new business to the roster.

Consider this your sneak peek into the before and after (remember it is still in progress) I will do a more formal interview with the owners before the Grand Opening.

The BAYs for BOOTHS are about done. I can't wait to see what types of vendors bring their wares.

The front of the store will house the dollar shop items,- This market will have all my favorites, misc. items, antiques, crafts, hobbies, dollar items, auto supplies, books, and more. The only thing I don't see yet is an auction schedule (hint hint)

Someone call Pepsi to get a machine in here and we are good to go!

How long do you think they will let me store my SOLD sign in the window?

Congrats to all involved, what a fun new business for our lovely town. Glad I can share a peek- be good

Celebrate my 40 with me--

If you are thinking B-day you missed it by a couple of YEARS!-- I am still waiting for my gift card- just kidding. I have hit #40 in our lovely state on ACTIVE RAIN-

b-day balloon

So far I have not been contacted by anyone as far as interviews are concerned so I thought I would take it on myself to mark the event.

1st: Officially I am dropping the NEWBIE attitude!

2nd, that commenting on 10 a day has to stop, I think I am writing a mini novel when I comment. (In fact as far as blogging goes, my comments are usually better than my posts!!)

3rd, my post will get better- (they can't get worse can they?)

4th, I would like to thank all the wonderful Rainy Friends I have made this past couple of months.

5th, Thank you for helping me bring MO into the 21st century. You should start see a lot more content from us as a group of professionals. I am lining up my favorites in the industry and am confident 'they' will bring their favorites on board as well.

6th, NO I am NOT going to list 40- but didn't want to stop at just five.

Disclaimer, don't go looking at my points and start complaining that I had it easy- remember I have had to read though a bunch of your-all's stuff to get to this point. (seriously I did an analysis the other day and statistically I am about on par for a break through in make it or break it.) glad I could share- dare you to ask me how I did it-- I might just have to tell ya- be good cheryl http://www.activerain.com/groups/Cheryl

It is fun to re-visit the old posts, if for no other reason than to see how far we have come. FYI- I'm holding steady at #10!- be good cw

Breakfast at the Red Barn

Nice Morning cup of coffee and good conversation- what a way to start the day.

Local business man and theatre owner, Joe Levanti, prompter of the Horseshoe was my breakfast companion. We had a nice visit about the area, his plans for his business and a good talk about the Active Rain Network.

Joe is just getting signed up and it may take a bit to totally get his feet wet BUT, this guy is a hoot. We are all going to be blessed with getting to see our lovely part of the state through his eyes.

I will do a more formal introduction once I have a better handle on the whistles and bells, but for now I am excited to see Joe throw his hat into this ring. It will be a good time for all of us.

Relay for Life

Yeah, the RE/MAX Balloon will be at the Aurora High School Track on Friday the 30th at the RELAY for LIFE event.

RE/MAX Properties will have a couple different things going on that night.

Balloon rides are a favorite, so if you have not had a ride in a tethered balloon, mark your calendar- here's your chance! I will be there- will you?

Also, our office BROKER, John Mareth has been "growing" his pony tail out for the past year + (I am not even going to offer my usual words of sarcasm here).

AS A FUND RAISER we are selling tickets to CUT the TAIL off the HORSE'S Pa-toot! (Yep, John is the ultimate horses ...... I didn't start it!) I have tickets for sale, you can call me with your order and I will have them filled out and available for the drawing to see 'who' wins the honor-

If you don't have aspirations of scalping my wonderful leader, I will be more than glad to be your stand-in if your name is drawn. Tickets are offered at $5.00 each and I will throw in a additional buck for each one purchased where I am designated as the "SISSOR-GAL of record"
