Each year our Keller Williams Springfield Missouri Market Center has the privilege of finding creative and fun ways to help raise funds to support KW Cares! This organization helps support people in local communities that are undergoing difficulties or are faced with a natural disaster. This week we had our annual chili cook off/silent auction to benefit KW Cares and it was a great success!
With the chili pots heated and desserts all lined up it was time for the competition to begin! We had eight pots of chili and one pot of hot fudge chilly to choose from. Each taste was supposed to cost a dollar and give you a vote. However as in many elections, I think there was some voter funny business going on! In the end we raised $1421.76 for KW Cares! This year we also included a silent auction and at the last second I made my final bid and got the item I wanted!
This Saturday is the 45th Annual Ozark Christmas Parade! The parade starts at 6:00 pm and begins at the old Fasco building at West Jackson St. The parade continues East on Jackson, South on 3rd street to the square.

This year's theme is "Christmas Through the Years". Come early to get a good spot! There are always thousands of people here to enjoy the parade!
Its that time of year again! Its the 17th annual Festival of Lights at the Finley River Park in Ozark Missouri! This year there are over 200 displays to enjoy in the drive-thru exhibit. Hours are 5pm to 10pm.
There are three new exhibits this year. Penguins playing on an ice berg, two reindeer skating, and a train with waving entineer. Its free to drive through but donations are accepted to help pay the expenses and improve the displays for next year.
The Historic Riverside Inn in Ozark Missouri is closing its doors on December 12th which will be a sad day for area residents. There won't be any more fried chicken dinners by the river, weddings, or Christmas parties at the inn.
However, you can take home a piece of Riverside Inn memorabilia at a public auction on Dec 19th. They will be auctioning off paintings, furniture, decorations, kitchen items, silverware, and miscellaneous items. Who knows, maybe you can put one of those famous paintings by founder Howard Garrison in your home!

Looking back on our summer, I'm amazed at how smoothly our transition went, thanks in large part to TeamKnowles and the Home Buyers Scouting Report website.
