Snow in October??? Are you kidding me??? This is not Alaska....
This is the Greater Hudson Valley of New York!
We had snow that stuck a bit yesterday afternoon and it is supposed to continue off and on all weekend. The ground is probably too warm for accumulations (I hope) but really? I can't remember snow this early in October before. As a matter of act I can only remember it once long long ago at the very end of October. This is bizarre. I took a few photos yesterday just to prove it to myself more than anything else.

The weather is nuts here in NY State. Who ever heard of SNOW this early in October? (Jesse you don't count on this one.) They are saying it might happen tonight.

Saturday we went to New Paltz, NY for the Celebration of the Arts - COTA for short. It was a beautiful Fall day, a little on the cool side but we had a great time. We parked a few blocks from the site and walked the Ulster County Hudson Valley Rail Trail from a lot on N Chestnut St to the show.

The show was held on historic Huguenot Street, the oldest continually inhabited street in the United States, with the first dwellings recorded in 1678 when the French Huguenot's settled there. There are some awesome stone houses, a church with an old graveyard, and many more things to see at this National Historic Landmark District. Take a virtual tour here.
