I recently wrote an article about Buying a Bank Owned, Short Sale, or Forclosure in Idaho. Since then I have been asked several times if I though buying one of these properties was a good idea. So here's my blanket answer that will fit everyone.

It Depends.
It depends on many factors.
This really is just the tip of the iceburg, but I hope it gives you some food for thought in your purchase decision! Please let me know how I can help you. Visit my Boise Idaho Real Estate website for free Idaho bank owned lists, and free Idaho foreclosure lists. If you would like a list of short sale properties for a particular neighborhood or area, give me a call and I would be happy to prepare a customized list for you.

Friday June 20, 2008 at 7 pm is the "Real Dairy Parade" in Meridian Idaho!
The Parade will start on WaterTower Lane, and proceed north on Main Street to Fairview Avenue.
Dairy Days has been celebrated in Meridian in some form or another since 1929. This event pays tribute to Meridian's history as the Dairy Capitol of the Treasure Valley.
There are many events, but the Parade has been my families favorite since we bought our first home in Meridian as a young married couple in 1992. This year there will be over 100 entries, all with a Dairy theme. Dairygold usually hands out chocolate milk and string cheese, there is the new Rocky Mountain High School cheerleaders and football players, and my boys favorite the Meridian Fire Dept. brings out some of the trucks. StarMedia and 24 Hour Digitizing give out thousands of FREE T SHIRTS that are a coveted item here in Meridian. My kids have the collector's set of these shirts from past years!
This event really showcases Meridian's small town approach to city life! Meridian is really "Built for Business....Designed for Living"

This Friday June 20, 2008, marks the first day of the Snake River Valley Building Contractor's Association Parade of Homes! The Parade lasts from Friday June 20, 2008 to Sunday June 28, 2008. Hours are Monday-Friday: 5-9p.m. and Weekends: 1 p.m.-9 p.m.
There are 18 Show Homes in this year's Parade in Nampa, Caldwell, and Middleton Idaho. The homes cover the gamet; from modest sized 1200 square foot homes, to lavish 'mini mansions' and everything in between.
Hop over to my website to Read more.............about the 2008 Parade, get a map etc.....
Monday I had the honor of being a judge for the Parade of Homes for the 3rd year in a row. I always look forward to this event, and enjoy seeing the new trends in home building! Of course, all the homes were beautiful, and judging was very difficult. I know that sounds politically correct, but it is true. Each home had unique qualities that made it stand out. The results of the judging haven't officially been released, so I can't spill the beans now. I will post the results later however! Why don't you go to the parade, and see if you agree with the judges!
I hope you all enjoy the SRVBCA Parade of Homes, and get lots of ideas for your Boise Idaho area Custom Home. I think the Canyon County Parade of Homes is a great place to see that you can built a Custom Home on any budget!
Call or text me at (208) 921-4800 with any Idaho Real Estate questions, and visit my Idaho Real Estate Website to search the MLS, get Market Reports, and find building lots for sale. I look forward to working for you soon!
